Binder M 260 Drying and Heating Oven with forced air circulation, 256 l, 400 V, up to 300 °C, 9010-0373

Product information "Binder M 260 Drying and Heating Oven with forced air circulation, 256 l, 400 V, up to 300 °C, 9010-0373"

The Binder M 260 drying and heating oven is the mid-range model in the M Classic.Line series and is designed for laboratories and testing centres that need to process larger batches or bulky test specimens at temperatures of up to 300 °C. With a usable volume of 256 litres and a 400 V three-phase power connection, the unit is designed for higher heating power and thus for rapid test cycles, even with a larger internal chamber.

Touchscreen control with failsafe function

The intuitive touchscreen controller offers time-interval and real-time programming for complex test sequences. A failsafe function with a backup sensor further enhances process reliability during unattended runs, complemented by an internal data logger and an Ethernet interface for connection to the laboratory infrastructure. Two chrome-plated insert grids are included as standard.

High heating capacity for large-volume tests

Thanks to APT.line technology with enhanced heating power, the M 260 achieves a spatial temperature deviation of 1.5 ± K and a temporal deviation of 0.4 ± K at 150 °C. Despite its large interior, the heating time to 150 °C is just 13 minutes. With an air exchange rate of 65 times per hour at 100 °C, the temperature distribution remains uniform even when the chamber is fully loaded with several test specimens.

Typical applications

  • Material testing and ageing tests on larger components
  • Heat treatment of material samples in industrial production
  • Drying of larger batches of laboratory glassware or test specimens
  • Multi-stage test programmes with high demands on process reliability

Where a compact test chamber such as the M 56 or M 115 reaches its capacity limits – for example, with bulky test specimens or larger production runs – the M 260 takes over thanks to its higher heating capacity, with no noticeable loss of time during the heating phase.

Selection guide: choosing the right size from the M-series

With a capacity of 256 litres, the M 260 is the mid-range large model in the M-series, positioned between the M 115 and the large-capacity M 720. You can find the complete range of this series in the LT Laborhandel range of climatic chambers & incubators.

ModelUseful volume, external dimensions (W x D x H), weight
M 5659 l, 560 x 596 x 622 mm, 43 kg
M 115113 l, 710 x 636 x 732 mm, 58 kg
M 260256 l, 810 x 786 x 962 mm, 86 kg
M 720735 l, 1,160 x 816 x 1,590 mm, 170 kg

For bulky test specimens or larger batches that need to be heated rapidly in 400 V operation, the M 260 is the appropriate choice within the range before the capacity of the M 720 is required.

Distinction: M or FP – depending on the level of process reliability required

The M 260 enhances programmability with a failsafe function featuring a backup sensor, which provides additional process reliability during unattended runs, as well as an internal data logger. If the programmability is sufficient without this additional safeguard, the Binder FP 260 drying and heating oven – which is identical in construction – covers the same capacity with simpler features.
