Product information "Binder M 720 Drying and Heating Oven with forced air circulation, 735 l, 400 V, up to 300 °C, 9010-0374"
The Binder M 720 drying and heating cabinet is the large-capacity model in the M Classic.Line series and is designed for laboratories and industrial facilities that need to process large components, multiple test specimens simultaneously or large batches of material at temperatures of up to 300 °C. With a usable volume of 735 litres and a heating capacity of 6 kW on a 400 V three-phase connection, the unit is capable of handling even the most demanding large-scale testing and drying tasks.
Touchscreen control for complex test programmes
The intuitive touchscreen controller, featuring interval and real-time programming, enables complex, multi-stage test sequences even on this large-scale unit. An internal data logger and an Ethernet interface ensure comprehensive documentation of test runs, which is particularly relevant for industrial materials testing where traceability requirements are high.
Uniform heat distribution even with large volumes
Despite the large internal chamber, APT.line technology with enhanced heating power ensures comparatively homogeneous temperature distribution: At 150 °C, the spatial temperature deviation is 2.0 ± K, whilst the temporal deviation is 0.6 ± K. The heating time to 150 °C is 14 minutes, and the air change rate at 100 °C is 40 times per hour. Due to the higher heating output, the sound pressure level of 49 dB(A) is slightly higher than that of the smaller M series models.
Typical applications
- Material testing and ageing tests on large components and assemblies
- Heat treatment of large batches of material in industrial manufacturing
- Drying of large quantities of laboratory glassware, moulded parts or test specimens
- Test programmes requiring extensive documentation via data loggers and Ethernet
If an entire series of components needs to be subjected to a defined temperature profile simultaneously – for example, during the approval testing of a production batch – the M 720 offers sufficient internal space for this, without the need to split the test across multiple runs.
Selection guide: choosing the right size from the M-series
With a capacity of 735 litres, the M 720 is the large-capacity model at the top end of the M-Series, significantly larger than the M 260 and the more compact M 56 and M 115 models. You can find the complete range of this series in the LT Laborhandel range of climate chambers and incubators.
| Model | Useful volume, external dimensions (W x D x H), weight |
| M 56 | 59 l, 560 x 596 x 622 mm, 43 kg |
| M 115 | 113 l, 710 x 636 x 732 mm, 58 kg |
| M 260 | 256 l, 810 x 786 x 962 mm, 86 kg |
| M 720 | 735 l, 1,160 x 816 x 1,590 mm, 170 kg |
For businesses wishing to test or dry large components or large batches of material in a single pass, the M 720 is the right choice; for smaller production runs, the more compact M models are usually sufficient.
Distinction: M or FD, if the full range of functions is not required
Within Binder’s own ranges of functional models, the FP series tops out at 259 litres; Binder does not offer a direct FP counterpart to the M 720. If touchscreen programming with a data logger is not required for the large-capacity model, but a simpler controller with forced air circulation is sufficient, the Binder FD 720 drying and heating cabinet – which is identical in design – covers the same volume with a reduced range of functions.
