Where air-cushion pipettes reach their natural limits, the Transferpettor pipette comes into its own. Whether viscous or thin, foaming or with high vapour pressure, the Transferpettor pipette dispenses such liquids with the utmost precision. The solution for difficult cases! The Transferpettor pipette operates on the principle of direct displacement: Unlike air-cushion pipettes, the piston of the direct displacement pipette is in direct contact with the liquid to be pipetted. The fixed piston always scrapes the walls of the capillaries/tips clean – right down to the very last drop, which leaves the opening clearly visible. This principle ensures precisely reproducible results, regardless of the pipetting speed. The capillaries or tips do not need to be discarded after each pipetting step, as residual wetting is minimal and can generally be disregarded. The Transferpettor pipette is suitable for media with:
a density of up to 13.6 g/cm³,
a viscosity of up to 140,000 mm²/s,
and a vapour pressure of up to 500 mbar.
Operating temperature range: 15 °C to 40 °C
