IKA C-MAG HP 10 hotplate, with glass-ceramic work surface, 0003582000

Product information "IKA C-MAG HP 10 hotplate, with glass-ceramic work surface, 0003582000"

Thermodynamic efficiency and material resistance

The IKA C-MAG HP 10 is a high-performance heating system specially developed for the thermal treatment of large-volume media and aggressive chemical substances. With a heating power of 1500 W and a footprint of 260 x 260 mm, the unit enables significant thermal energy transfer. The monolithic glass-ceramic plate is characterised by excellent chemical inertness and high resistance to thermal cycling. The material’s low thermal expansion ensures a flat surface even at maximum operating temperatures, which minimises the thermal contact resistance to the vessel.

Metrological precision and system reliability

The thermal parameters are controlled via a digital display, which allows precise monitoring of the setpoints. To regulate the medium temperature, the C-MAG HP 10 features an integrated interface in accordance with DIN 12878, which enables the connection of external contact thermometers (e.g. ETS-D5). The safety architecture comprises a fixed safety circuit at 550 °C and a visual ‘Hot Top’ warning indicator. The latter acts as a preventive safety mechanism against thermal injuries by detecting residual heat in the plate even after the heating function has been deactivated, as long as the surface temperature remains above 50 °C.

Customised requirements & accessories

For precise thermodynamic control in the liquid phase, an external resistance thermometer (PT 1000) or an electronic contact thermometer (ETS-D series) must be connected via the DIN 12878 socket. This enables compensation for the thermal hysteresis of the glass-ceramic hotplate. You can find suitable support rods and cross-sockets for securing the sensor via our procurement service.
