The IKA HS 501 digital (0025002982) is a flat horizontal shaker with a reciprocating, i.e. back-and-forth, motion. IKA recommends it for all horizontal vessels, such as separating funnels. The reciprocating motion has a stroke of 30 mm; the platform measures 450 x 450 mm and can support up to 15 kg, including the attachment.
Reciprocating motion with a 30 mm stroke
The speed is continuously adjustable between 0 and 300 rpm and displayed on a 7-segment LED. The shaker operates in timer or continuous mode; the timer with scale covers 1 to 55 minutes. The permissible duty cycle is 100 per cent; IKA describes continuous operation as indefinite, even under extreme loads. The drive has a power input of 70 W and a power output of 19 W.

The unit is supplied without attachments. IKA offers the following accessories for the HS 501, amongst others:

IKA manufacturer’s warranty: 2 years, extended to 3 years upon registration at ika.com/register within 90 days of purchase. The warranty applies to the unit, not to the attachments. The unit weighs 26 kg and requires a level, stable surface. At the end of its useful life, as an electrical appliance, it must be disposed of via the separate collection scheme for waste electrical and electronic equipment.
