The ICC control is a compact immersion circulator for temperature control of liquids in open or semi-open bath vessels up to 150 °C. It has a TFT display, a temperature stability of ±0.01 K according to DIN 12876 and an integrated pressure/suction pump. The bath vessel is not included in the scope of delivery, and the circulator is clamped to an existing vessel.Mounting on the bath vesselThe circulator is attached to the bath vessel with a holding clip, and the clamping width of the universal clamp is 0 to 40 mm. The vessel must be at least 150 mm deep. The circulator measures 145 x 340 x 200 mm and weighs 3.75 kg, and a carrying handle and an integrated stand are part of the housing. The permissible duty cycle is 100 %.Control, display and programsThe circulator controls by PID, a PT 100 measures the working temperature and a PT1000 the safety temperature. The TFT display shows both values, and the display resolution is 0.01 K. The set temperature can be set to an accuracy of 0.1 K. There is a connection for an external PT 100 probe, and the display indicates operation with an external probe. The device can store 10 individual procedures with up to 10 steps each.Pump and coolingThe pressure/suction pump is intended for internal and external applications and its output can be varied. It delivers up to 18 l/min at 0 bar back pressure, the maximum pump pressure is 0.3 bar, and on the suction side 0.2 bar. For temperature control below or near ambient temperature, a cooling coil is optionally provided, and with external cooling the minimum operating temperature is -20 °C.Connection and environmentThe circulator runs on 230 V at 50/60 Hz and draws 2,100 W, of which 2,000 W is heating power. It is protected to IP 21, and the permissible ambient temperature is 5 to 40 °C at no more than 80 % relative humidity. The device includes a calibration option.Safety equipmentAn adjustable safety circuit ranges from 0 to 160 °C. Visual and audible warnings, the over-temperature warning and protection against low and high level are built in. The circulator is classified as DIN 12876 class III and marked FL.As a package with bathIKA combines the ICC control with plastic and stainless steel baths to form ready-to-connect packages. The ICC 150 lite belongs to the lite series of IKA immersion circulators, which is designed for the essential basic functions. It controls the temperature of liquids from room temperature to 150 °C with 2,000 W heating power, has a built-in pressure/suction pump and is classified for flammable liquids according to DIN 12876 class III. The housing is made of coated stainless steel.Overflow protection and safety circuitThe circulator detects an overflow of the bath, for example due to an unintentionally increased amount of oil, and safely switches off the heating. It also monitors for low level. The safety circuit is adjustable from 0 to 160 °C, and warnings are visual and audible. A PT1000 measures both the working and the safety temperature.Display and controlThe LED display shows working and safety temperature with a resolution of 0.1 K, and the set temperature can be set to an accuracy of 0.1 K. Control is by PID, and the temperature stability according to DIN 12876 is ±0.05 K. With external cooling the minimum operating temperature of the circulator is -25 °C.PumpThe integrated pressure/suction pump is intended for internal and external applications. It delivers up to 15 l/min at 0 bar back pressure and reaches a maximum pump pressure of 0.3 bar, on the suction side 0.1 bar.Dimensions, clamp and connectionThe circulator measures 135 x 303 x 180 mm and weighs 4.7 kg. It is attached to the bath vessel with a clamp, the universal clamp has a clamping width of 0 to 40 mm, and the vessel must be at least 150 mm deep. A stand foot is integrated into the housing. The connection is to 230 V at 50/60 Hz, and the power consumption is 2,100 W. Via RS 232 and USB-B the device can be monitored, controlled and documented.Comparison with the ICC basicThe ICC basic is somewhat larger at 145 x 340 x 200 mm and 3.75 kg, but lighter. The ICC basic is the immersion circulator with LED display and operation via push and rotary knobs. It controls the temperature of liquids in open or semi-open bath vessels up to 150 °C, has a heating power of 2,000 W and a temperature stability of ±0.02 K according to DIN 12876. A bath vessel is not included in the scope of delivery.Display and controlWorking and safety temperature appear on an LED display with 0.1 K resolution. The set temperature can be set to an accuracy of 0.1 K. Control is by PID, the working temperature is measured by a PT 100 and the safety temperature by a PT1000. Not every application needs a complete bath package, sometimes a compact immersion circulator that can be clamped to an existing vessel is enough. The IKA ICC 100 lite is designed for exactly this: a stand-alone, compact immersion circulator for temperature control of liquids up to 100 °C, without its own bath in the scope of delivery. With a heating power of 2,000 watts, a clamp mounting for wall thicknesses of 0 to 40 millimetres and a weight of only 4.2 kilograms, the device can be integrated into existing vessels for which no separate IKA bath is to be purchased. Heating power 2,000 watts up to 100 °C The ICC 100 lite covers a working temperature range from room temperature to 100 °C and holds the temperature via PID control with a stability of ±0.05 kelvin according to DIN 12876. The target temperature can be set with a resolution of 0.1 kelvin, and the LED display shows the current temperature with the same resolution. With external cooling, the operating temperature can be lowered to minus 25 °C. Safety to DIN 12876 Class III The device is classified according to DIN 12876 in Class III and marked FL, meaning it is classified for use with flammable liquids. Both the working and the safety temperature probe use PT1000 sensors, and an adjustable safety circuit from 0 to 110 °C as well as visual and audible warning functions provide additional protection against over-temperature. Low-level protection monitors the fill level in the connected bath. Compact design for flexible integration With dimensions of 135 x 303 x 180 millimetres and a weight of 4.2 kilograms, the ICC 100 lite is one of the most compact devices in the ICC series. The housing is made of powder-coated stainless steel, and an integrated stand foot makes cleaning easier and protects important components from damage. The clamp mounting covers a range of 0 to 40 millimetres and can therefore be adapted to bath walls of different thickness. The minimum bath depth is 150 millimetres. Interfaces for monitoring and documentation Via the USB-B and RS 232 interfaces, the ICC 100 lite can be connected to a PC, for example to monitor and control temperature profiles or to record them for documentation. A calibration option makes it possible to compare the temperature display against a reference thermometer if required. The device is connected to the mains at 230 volts and 50 or 60 hertz, and the power consumption of the device is 2,100 watts. Use with existing or separately available baths Since the ICC 100 lite is supplied without its own bath, it can be clamped both to existing vessels and to separately available IKA baths. The clamping range of 0 to 40 millimetres covers bath walls of different thickness, so the circulator can be adapted flexibly to different vessel shapes. Compared with the ready-configured ICC packages with a stainless steel or plastic bath, the ICC 100 lite is therefore suitable above all for laboratories that already have a suitable vessel or want to put together the combination of circulator and bath themselves. Uniform PT1000 sensor for working and safety temperature Unlike the ICC basic and ICC control series, which combine a PT 100 probe for the working temperature with a PT1000 probe for the safety temperature, the ICC 100 lite uses PT1000 sensors at both measuring points. This uniform sensor technology simplifies spare parts stocking, as the same sensor type is used for the working and safety probes. The temperature stability of ±0.05 kelvin according to DIN 12876 varies more widely than that of the basic series, which fits its positioning as the entry-level device of the lite series, where the focus is on robust basic functions rather than on the highest control precision.
