The IC basic pro 12 c is a ready-to-connect bath package. For it, IKA has assembled the IC basic bridge circulator with the IB 12 pro stainless steel bath, the CM.IC cover, the BS.IC bath bridge, the CC1 cooling coil and the PT 100.30 temperature probe. The bath is size M. The package is intended as a ready-to-connect assembly with the necessary accessories, so bath, bridge and lid do not have to be procured individually.

What the package brings compared with the standalone circulator

Compared with the standalone circulator, the package brings the stainless steel bath, the bath bridge, the cover, the cooling coil and the PT 100.30 temperature probe. The circulator sits on the bridge, and its universal clamp spans widths of 280 to 375 mm. The technical data of the circulator apply to the IC basic in the package, and dimensions and bath opening to the complete package.

Heating up to 250 °C, bath up to 200 °C

The circulator delivers 2,500 W and works from room temperature plus 10 K to 250 °C. A maximum bath temperature of 200 °C applies to the stainless steel bath of the pro series. With external cooling, an operating temperature down to -20 °C is possible. The PID control keeps the temperature constant to ±0.02 K according to DIN 12876. The LED display resolves to 0.1 K, and the set temperature can likewise be set to an accuracy of 0.1 K. An external PT 100 probe can be connected, and the display then indicates operation with an external probe.

Pump and connections

The pressure/suction pump has variable output and delivers up to 31 l/min at 0 bar back pressure. The maximum pump pressure is 0.61 bar, and on the suction side 0.45 bar. The pump connections have the thread M16x1.

Safety and interfaces

The circulator is classified according to DIN 12876 as class III with marking FL, that is, intended for flammable liquids. The safety circuit can be set between 0 and 260 °C and works with its own PT1000 probe. Low and high level protection as well as visual and audible warning functions, including for over-temperature, are included. RS 232 and Micro-USB are available as interfaces, and a calibration option is provided.

Bath of size M in figures

The package measures 354 x 461 x 359 mm. The bath opening at the base plate is 255 x 80 mm and at the upper bath edge at most 292 x 105 mm. The immersion depth is 95 to 135 mm, and the bath depth must be at least 150 mm. The IC basic pro 20 c, with size L, has a package height of 641 mm, that is 180 mm more.

Selection guide

If you want the finer display and the tighter temperature stability, look at the IC control pro 12 c with TFT display, 0.01 K resolution and ±0.01 K. For a larger bath, the IC basic pro 20 c is the variant with size L. The ICC basic pro 12 c Package offers an immersion circulator instead of a bridge circulator, likewise with a bath of size M.
