Product information "IKA ICC control pro 12 Compact Thermostat Package, stainless steel bath, 12 litres, 0010000415"
The IKA ICC control pro 12 compact thermostat package is a sophisticated, premium mechatronic system solution designed for precise temperature control and reliable sample preparation in chemical, biological and pharmaceutical laboratories. This ready-to-connect complete system combines the high-performance immersion thermostat from the top-of-the-range ICC control series with a robust 12-litre stainless steel bath. For demanding analytical test series, material testing or process scale-up steps in multi-user operation, uncompromising temperature stability and absolute material resilience against high thermal loads are the primary criteria for guaranteeing reproducible results whilst protecting the material and ensuring process reliability.
Intelligent thermoregulation and high-performance kinetics
The process engineering centrepiece of this package is the ICC control immersion thermostat. Equipped with a highly sophisticated microprocessor control system, the unit achieves outstanding temperature stability of ±0.01 K. A high-resolution, high-contrast TFT colour display guides the user intuitively through all process parameters and allows the visual representation of transient temperature curves as well as integrated programme sequences (up to 10 programmes, each with 10 segments). The integrated, powerful pressure and suction pump, with a flow rate of up to 18 litres per minute, ensures excellent fluid-mechanical mixing and a completely homogeneous temperature distribution throughout the entire bath volume.
Material robustness of the “pro 12” stainless steel bath
The materials science and structural design of the supplied IB pro 12 bath tank are consistently optimised for maximum durability under intensive continuous loads. Unlike polycarbonate variants, the high-quality stainless steel structure offers unrestricted chemical resistance to a wide range of temperature-control media (such as water or special silicone oils) and allows full utilisation of the extended operating temperature range of up to 150 °C. The bath’s optimised geometry and wall thickness significantly minimise heat loss to the surrounding environment. This reduces the thermodynamic load on the thermostat, lowers energy consumption and protects the surrounding laboratory environment from thermal stress.
Connectivity, documentation and uncompromising health and safety
The electronic system architecture of the ICC control is perfectly tailored to the requirements of modern, digitised laboratories (Smart Lab). Via integrated USB and RS232 interfaces, the thermostat package can be seamlessly integrated into higher-level laboratory software (such as labworldsoft ®), enabling seamless transient data acquisition and automated validation loops. A comprehensive range of safety features ensures maximum occupational safety during day-to-day operation: an adjustable safety circuit protects against thermal overload, a mechanical float switch provides reliable dry-run protection, and visual and audible alarm signals immediately alert laboratory staff to process deviations.

Customised requirements & accessories
To maximise the energy efficiency of the IKA ICC control pro 12 package, we recommend using a precisely fitting stainless steel bath lid (e.g. IKA CM.pro 12), which minimises evaporation losses at operating temperatures above 60 °C. For applications at or below room temperature, our range includes dedicated cooling coils (PCS.ICC) for feeding in external cooling water. For precise temperature control directly within your sample vessel, we offer external stainless steel temperature sensors (PT 1000.60). For high-temperature operation up to 150 °C, the use of genuine IKA thermal fluids (such as Labotherm) is essential to reliably prevent thermal decomposition of the medium.
