The IKA mini G is an extremely compact and user-friendly mini centrifuge designed for ‘Quick-Spin’ (short centrifugation) of samples directly at the laboratory workstation. It is the ideal solution for molecular biology applications (e.g. PCR reactions) or the rapid pelletisation of micro-samples.

Extremely simple operation for fast results

For procurement professionals who prioritise efficiency, the ease of use of the IKA mini G is a key advantage: there are no complicated settings. The centrifuge operates at a fixed speed of 6000 rpm (2000 xg), which is ideal for most micro-applications. Operation starts automatically when the lid is closed and stops via a ‘Quick-Stop’ in under 2 seconds as soon as the lid release button is pressed.

Versatile thanks to two rotors included

Unlike many other mini centrifuges, the IKA mini G is supplied as a complete package. The scope of delivery already includes two rotors, enabling versatile use:

1. Microtube rotor: For 8 x 1.5 mL or 2.0 mL reaction tubes (e.g. Eppendorf tubes).
2. PCR strip rotor: For 16 x 0.2 mL individual PCR tubes or 2 x 8-well PCR strips.

Compact and safe design

With its minimal footprint, the IKA mini G saves valuable space on the laboratory bench or in the fume cupboard. The transparent lid allows for constant visual monitoring of the samples. For safety reasons, the centrifuge will only operate when the lid is securely closed.
