Product information "IKA ROLLER 10 basic Roller Shaker, 10 Rollers, Fixed Speed 30 rpm, 0004012000"
Keeping tubes and bottles in slow motion without anyone having to think about it: that is what the IKA ROLLER 10 basic is designed for. Ten rollers, each 32 mm in diameter, rotate the vessels placed on them, whilst a fixed tilt angle of 3 degrees keeps the contents in motion as well. The rotational speed is 30 rpm and is not adjustable. The unit is designed for continuous operation.
Ten rollers for larger sample batches
Each roller is 327 mm long, and the working area measures 350 mm. Compared to the smaller ROLLER 6 basic, the unit’s dimensions increase to 380 x 115 x 545 mm. This allows more containers to be placed on it at the same time, such as a series of tubes containing blood samples or several bottles of suspensions. At the roller end, the stroke reaches 16 mm. All rollers are removable, which simplifies cleaning and allows for larger tubes.
Operation without a display or timer
The unit does not have a speed display or a timer. Those requiring fixed running times are better off choosing the ROLLER 10 digital. The basic model’s key feature is its simple operation via the membrane keypad. The duty cycle is 100 %, and the ambient temperature range is 4 to 50 °C; the device is therefore designed for use in an incubator. The unit consumes 24 W and operates on mains voltages from 100 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz. The degree of protection is IP 21 in accordance with DIN EN 60529. The unit weighs 8.242 kg.
Typical applications
- Mixing blood samples in larger batches
- Mixing solid and liquid suspensions over extended periods
- Agitating viscous substances in tubes and cylindrical bottles
- Continuous operation in an incubator at 4 to 50 °C
- Sample preparation in which all vessels are subjected to the same, slow movement
Series overview
With six rollers and a width of 240 mm, the ROLLER 6 basic requires less floor space whilst maintaining the same constant speed. The ROLLER 10 digital features ten rollers, an adjustable speed range of 5 to 80 rpm and a countdown timer. If you want to rotate tubes up to 50 ml, take a look at the Loopster digital.
