Product information "Meditrade Nitril GreenGen Examination Gloves, green, box (1,000 pieces)"
Polymer physics and biological degradation
In analytical, clinical and industrial laboratory practice, the mechanical integrity of elastomers is essential for maintaining personal barrier protection. Meditrade Nitrile GreenGen consists of a synthetic acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR), whose macromolecular matrix is highly resistant to mechanical perforations and structural fractures. Unlike conventional cross-linked polymers, this specific material has been modified to undergo accelerated biological degradation. Specific additives in the matrix enable microorganisms in the post-operative disposal cycle (landfill) to break down the polymer’s covalent bonds enzymatically. This transforms the glove into a biodegradable material cycle without compromising its initial tear resistance and thermodynamic stability during exposure to chemical agents.
Immunological prophylaxis and aerosol containment
The occupational health prevention of exogenously induced dermatoses is a process-critical parameter in high-throughput laboratories. Natural rubber latex contains water-soluble proteins which can trigger severe immunological reactions in sensitised users. The Nitrile GreenGen serves as an essential immunological prophylaxis. It is specifically designed to be worn by users with a diagnosed, IgE-mediated latex allergy (Type I) without triggering an anaphylactic cascade. The complete absence of powder on the inner lining also eliminates the aerodynamic formation of aerosols from potentially contaminated carrier particles when putting on and taking off the gloves, which physically rules out the risk of respiratory exposure to the user’s airways.
Micromechanical adhesion and structural barrier protection
A high degree of tribological friction is required when precisely handling wet, oily or smooth laboratory materials (such as pipettes or glass flasks). The fingertips of the GreenGen are roughened (textured) at a microscopic level. This structural surface modification significantly increases the coefficient of friction at the elastomer interface and generates maximum micromechanical adhesion (grip), even under adverse rheological conditions. The mechanical rolled edge on the glove’s cuff acts as a structural strain absorber. It prevents the material from tearing under extreme mechanical stretching when the glove is put on, whilst simultaneously blocking the capillary backflow of liquid media (leakage prevention) down the user’s forearm.

Individual requirements & accessories
Meditrade Nitril GreenGen gloves are supplied in boxes of 1,000, designed to meet the massive high-throughput demands of hospitals, laboratories and the food industry. Choosing the exact glove size (XS to XL) is not just a matter of comfort, but is essential from an occupational health perspective: A glove that is too tight is under constant torsional stress and is prone to tearing, whilst a glove that is too large compromises tactile precision and creates pathways for chemicals to enter.
