Macherey-Nagel reagent case with PF-3 Drinking Water, liquid chlorine, 934124

The reagent case with PF-3 Drinking Water and liquid chlorine reagent from Macherey-Nagel contains the PF-3 Drinking Water compact photometer and five VISOCOLOR ECO test kits for chlorine (free and total), chlorine dioxide, iron, fluoride and pH. According to the manufacturer, the PF-3 Drinking Water allows drinking water to be checked quickly and easily every day, at all water sampling points and in water treatment. The instrument is intended for mobile drinking water analysis. The case has room for further test kits and can be equipped individually.

Tests included

PF-3 Drinking Water compact photometer

The housing of the PF-3 Drinking Water is dust-tight and waterproof to IP68 (test conditions according to the manual: 1 m water depth, 1 hour). Three LEDs measure at 450, 530 and 590 nm; the samples are in round cuvettes with 16 mm outer diameter in the open cuvette slot. According to the manual, extraneous light does not interfere with the measurement. 50 measured values with date and time stay in memory; export is via mini-USB and the free NANOCOLOR data export software. The instrument runs on three AA batteries or via USB. According to the flyer, new tests and parameters can be loaded at any time. For calibration with the calibration cuvette, the manufacturer recommends at least once a year.

Liquid or solid chlorine

Both cases differ in the chlorine test. This case contains Chlorine 2: measuring range 0.05 to 2.00 mg/L Cl₂, 150 tests, test kit shelf life 1.5 years. The reagents are liquid and are dosed in drops. The reagent case with PF-3 Drinking Water and solid chlorine reagent (934125) contains Chlorine 6: measuring range 0.05 to 6.00 mg/L Cl₂, 200 tests, test kit shelf life 2 years, a solid powder as the first reagent. Chlorine dioxide, Iron 2, fluoride and the pH test are the same in both cases. Anyone who expects chlorine values above 2 mg/L needs the case with Chlorine 6, because Chlorine 2 only measures up to 2.00 mg/L.
