Macherey-Nagel reagent case with PF-3 Drinking Water, solid chlorine, 934125

The reagent case with PF-3 Drinking Water and solid chlorine reagent from Macherey-Nagel contains the PF-3 Drinking Water compact photometer and five VISOCOLOR ECO test kits for chlorine (free and total), chlorine dioxide, iron, fluoride and pH. According to the manufacturer, the PF-3 Drinking Water allows drinking water to be checked quickly and easily every day, at all water sampling points and in water treatment. The instrument is intended for mobile drinking water analysis. The case has room for further test kits and can be equipped individually.

Tests included

PF-3 Drinking Water compact photometer

The PF-3 Drinking Water measures at three LED wavelengths (450, 530 and 590 nm) in round cuvettes with 16 mm outer diameter. The cuvette slot is open; according to the manual, the instrument is insensitive to extraneous light. It stores 50 measured values with date and time and transfers them via mini-USB. The free NANOCOLOR data export software exports the data; according to the flyer, new tests and parameters can be loaded at any time. The housing is dust-tight and waterproof to IP68 (test conditions according to the manual: 1 m water depth, 1 hour). The manufacturer recommends calibrating the instrument with the calibration cuvette at least once a year.

Solid or liquid chlorine

The two cases differ in the chlorine test. This case contains Chlorine 6: measuring range 0.05 to 6.00 mg/L Cl₂, 200 tests, test kit shelf life 2 years. The first reagent is a solid powder, the second is liquid. The reagent case with PF-3 Drinking Water and liquid chlorine reagent (934124) contains Chlorine 2: measuring range 0.05 to 2.00 mg/L Cl₂, 150 tests, test kit shelf life 1.5 years, reagents in liquid form that are dosed in drops. Chlorine dioxide, Iron 2, fluoride and the pH test are the same in both cases. If you expect chlorine values above 2 mg/L, choose the case with Chlorine 6. Up to 2 mg/L both versions are sufficient; the choice then depends on the number of tests and the dosing.
