Macherey-Nagel VISOCOLOR reagent case, 931304

Product information "Macherey-Nagel VISOCOLOR reagent case, 931304"

The VISOCOLOR reagent case 931304 combines four ECO tests with three HE tests for visual on-site water analysis. It measures ammonium, nitrite, pH, phosphate, alkalinity, total hardness and oxygen. The HE tests titrate with a syringe and, according to the manufacturer, are designed for determining low limit values. A photometer is not part of the case.

Two test series in one case

The ECO tests are evaluated with the colour chart. For the HE tests, the measuring range applies to one syringe filling in each case. Alkalinity AL 7 is the acid capacity (SBV). The oxygen test SA 10 works according to the Winkler method.

931304 or 931301

Both cases have the same tests for Ammonium 3, nitrite, pH and phosphate. The 931304 also measures oxygen and alkalinity, but lacks nitrate and carbonate hardness. These two parameters and the ECO total hardness are included in the VISOCOLOR ECO reagent case 931301. It measures 340 x 275 x 83 mm instead of 450 x 360 x 140 mm and, at 1,765 g gross, weighs less than half as much as the 931304 (3,750 g).

Typical applications

  • Water monitoring in swimming pools and drinking water analysis
  • Monitoring of fishing waters by water wardens and fish farmers
  • Water analysis in school lessons
  • General water analysis at the sampling point

According to the manufacturer, the individual tests are specified for wastewater, groundwater, surface water and drinking water and are suitable for seawater analysis.

Shelf life

The case has a shelf life of 1.5 years from production. pH and phosphate keep for 3 years, alkalinity 2 years, the other tests 1.5 years. Storage is at 15 to 25 °C.
