The Memmert SF260plus hot-air steriliser is the flagship model of the S Series and is certified as a Class IIb medical device. With a generous capacity of 256 litres, it not only offers space for large loads but also guarantees maximum process reliability thanks to its advanced features. The ‘Plus’ here stands for intelligent redundancy: two high-precision Pt100 sensors monitor the temperature independently of one another and, in the event of a fault, seamlessly take over control to safeguard the sterilisation process.

HeatBALANCE: Tailored heat distribution

An exclusive feature of the TwinDISPLAY units is the HeatBALANCE function. It allows you to specifically adjust the distribution of heating power between the top and bottom (-50% to +50%). In combination with the air turbine (forced convection), which can be adjusted in 10 % increments, you can thus perfectly adapt the temperature distribution inside the chamber to specific loading patterns. This ensures faster heating times and uniform heating even with complex load configurations.

Use in medical practices, clinics and laboratories

As a Class IIb medical device, the SF260plus is designed for the sterilisation of medical materials using dry heat at atmospheric pressure – for example, for the reprocessing of instruments in doctors’ and dentists’ surgeries, in hospital hygiene departments, or in microbiological and pharmaceutical laboratories, where traceability and validatable processes are required. The combination of SetpointWAIT, redundant Pt100 sensors and a factory calibration certificate supports precisely these requirements for documentation and process reliability.

Comprehensive documentation and ease of use

The intuitive ControlCOCKPIT, featuring two high-resolution TFT displays (TwinDISPLAY), provides a complete overview of all parameters. Thanks to the SetpointWAIT function, the process time only begins to run once the setpoint temperature has been reached at all measurement points – a fundamental requirement for validatable processes. Via the standard USB interface, you can save logs directly to a USB stick or easily transfer programmes using the AtmoCONTROL software. The hygienic stainless-steel interior is robust and easy to clean.
