The Memmert SF750plus (MPN SF750plus) is a giant amongst sterilisers. With an impressive internal volume of 749 litres, it offers ample space for the reprocessing of medical instruments, glassware or heat-resistant materials in hospitals, large laboratories and industry. As a Class IIb medical device (in accordance with MDD 93/42/EEC until 26 May 2024; thereafter, please note MDR compliance), this unit meets the most stringent regulatory requirements for hot-air sterilisation. Where other units reach their capacity limits, the SF750plus is only just getting started – and without compromising on temperature accuracy.

Safety comes first: the SetpointWAIT function

In sterilisation, time and temperature are everything. A critical flaw in conventional units is that the process time (sterilisation time) often begins as soon as the air inside the chamber has reached the setpoint temperature – yet the items being sterilised may still be cooler at that point. The SF750plus eliminates this risk with the SetpointWAIT function. The programme sequence only continues once the setpoint temperature has been reached within a very narrow tolerance range at all measurement points (or, optionally, at a PT100 sensor directly on the items being sterilised). This guarantees that the prescribed hold time (e.g. 180 °C for 30 minutes in accordance with DIN) is adhered to precisely. Here, ‘validatable safety’ is not just a buzzword, but a technical reality.

TwinDISPLAY: High-end control system for complex processes

As a model in the “plus” series, the SF750plus is equipped with the intuitive ControlCOCKPIT featuring TwinDISPLAY. Two high-resolution TFT touchscreens give you full control and a clear overview.

• Intuitive operation: Temperature, fan speed, air damper position and programme time can be adjusted using touch drag-and-drop.
• HeatBALANCE: A unique selling point of the Plus models. Heat distribution is particularly critical with such a large capacity of 749 litres. With HeatBALANCE, you can individually adjust the heating output between the upper and lower heating elements to physically compensate for temperature-related differences (heat rises).
• Monitoring: Both displays show setpoint and actual values, as well as the status of the safety devices.

Forced Air Circulation: The ‘F’ factor

The ‘F’ in the model name SF750plus stands for ‘Forced Air Circulation’. A quiet yet powerful fan continuously circulates the hot air within the chamber. In a unit of this size, this is essential to prevent ‘cold spots’ and ensure uniform temperature distribution right into the furthest corners. The fan speed is adjustable in 10 per cent increments, allowing the airflow to be adapted to sensitive contents (e.g. powders that must not be stirred up).

Stainless steel: Hygienic, robust, durable

Memmert is renowned for its unique textured stainless steel. Both the outer casing and the interior are made of high-quality, rust-proof stainless steel (grade 1.4301).

• Scratch-resistant: The textured surface is resistant to signs of wear and fingerprints.
• Hygienic: The interior is manufactured with deep-drawn ribs. This means: no sharp edges, no hard-to-clean corners and an integrated, tilt-proof guide for the wire shelves.

The SF750plus offers state-of-the-art interfaces for the comprehensive documentation of sterilisation processes – a fundamental requirement in a medical environment.

• USB port: On the ControlCOCKPIT, process data (logger) can be transferred directly to a USB stick or programmes can be uploaded.
• Ethernet interface: Integrate the device into your network to monitor it via the AtmoCONTROL .
• User ID: The optional User ID function (on a USB stick) prevents unauthorised tampering with the sterilisation programme.
