Restek GC Multi-Pesticide Standard Kit, 9 Ampoules, 203 Compounds, 32562

The GC Multi-Pesticide Standard Kit contains 203 pesticides in nine ampoules and is intended as certified reference material for calibration. The mixes cover food safety lists of the FDA, the USDA and other authorities and are assembled for residue analysis by GC-MS/MS.

Nine mixes, to be analysed separately

The ampoules are called GC Multiresidue Pesticide Std #1 -OPP, #2 -OCP, #3 to #5 -ONP, #6 -SPP, #7 -HME and #8 and #9 -OPP. The mixes are formulated and grouped for the longest possible stability, and each mix should be analysed separately. An optimised multi-component pesticide method is available as a free XLS file.

Storage and shelf life

The kit is stored at 10 °C or colder and keeps for 6 to 18 months. It is shipped at ambient temperature.

Documentation

The standards are quantitatively tested, and the kit comes with extensive accompanying documentation. The certificate of analysis can be retrieved online from the manufacturer for each lot, and the search runs via the lot or serial number.

GC or LC kit

The GC kit has 9 ampoules with 203 compounds in toluene, is stored at 10 °C or colder and is delivered at ambient temperature. The LC Multi-Pesticide Standard Kit has 10 ampoules with 204 compounds in acetonitrile and methanol, is stored at -20 °C or colder and is delivered on ice. Which kit fits depends on the measurement technique: GC-MS/MS or LC-MS/MS.

Technical details

Safety and shipping

Eight ampoules contain toluene (UN 1294, class 3, packing group II). Ampoule no. 3 contains a mixture of toluene and acetonitrile (UN 1993, flammable liquid, n.o.s., class 3, packing group II). The signal word is Danger for all ampoules.

With the classification in class 3, the shipment is dangerous goods.

The hazard statements under the CLP Regulation are in the safety data sheet that belongs to the product. The ampoules are to be stored closed until use and protected from ignition sources.
