Product information "Restek LC Multi-Pesticide Standard Kit, 10 Ampoules, 204 Compounds, 31971"
The LC Multi-Pesticide Standard Kit combines 204 pesticides in ten ampoules and serves as certified reference material for the calibration of LC-MS/MS methods. Mixes no. 1 to no. 10 cover many of the pesticides listed by authorities that can be analysed by liquid chromatography.
Ten mixes, to be analysed separately
Each ampoule contains its own mix, named LC Multi-Residue Pesticide Standard #1 to #10. The mixes are formulated and grouped for the longest possible stability, so each mix should be analysed separately. An optimised multi-component pesticide method with conditions and transition tables is available as a free XLS file. Reference materials containing chlorantraniliprole must be sonicated for at least 60 minutes before opening.
Storage and shelf life
The kit is delivered on ice and then stored at -20 °C or colder. On arrival the shelf life is 6 to 9 months, so consumption should fit the measurement planning.
The ten ampoules at a glance
Mixes no. 1 to no. 9 are in acetonitrile (item no. 31972 to 31980), mix no. 10 in methanol (item no. 31981). Each mix has its own item number, so individual ampoules can be reordered without buying another kit.
Documentation
The standards are quantitatively tested, and the kit comes with extensive accompanying documentation. The certificate of analysis can be retrieved online from the manufacturer for each lot, and the search runs via the lot or serial number.
Typical applications
- Detection and quantification of pesticides of global food safety in fruit, vegetables and other products by LC-MS/MS
- Calibration
- Fields: plants, cannabis, environmental and industrial exposure, food and agriculture

Safety and shipping
Ampoules no. 1 to no. 9 contain acetonitrile (UN 1648, class 3, packing group II), ampoule no. 10 contains methanol (UN 1230, class 3, packing group II). The signal word is Danger for all ampoules.
With the classification in class 3, the shipment is dangerous goods, and the available shipping options depend on the destination.
The hazard statements under the CLP Regulation are in the safety data sheet that belongs to the product. The ampoules are to be stored closed until use and protected from ignition sources.
Scope of delivery
1 kit with 10 ampoules (mix no. 1 to no. 10, item no. 31972 to 31981) and extensive accompanying documentation.
Individual requirements and procurement service
The individual ampoules are also available separately, for example mix no. 5 with the organonitrogen compounds. For gas chromatography there is the GC Multi-Pesticide Standard Kit. Restek offers many further standards, columns and accessories. LT procures these on request, including by Restek part number.
