Micropacked instead of conventionally packed
Micropacked columns achieve higher efficiency than conventionally packed columns and have a higher capacity than PLOT columns. It fits all instruments, and no special instrument configuration is required. Custom-packed versions are available on request.
Dimensions and temperature
The packing has a particle size of 80/100 mesh. This means that the particles pass through a sieve with 80 meshes per inch and are retained on a sieve with 100 meshes per inch. It fills a tube 2 m long. The inner diameter is 1.00 mm, the outer diameter 1/16 inch (about 1.6 mm). The temperature range extends from -60 to 330/350 °C and thus starts well below zero.

Typical applications
The column is intended for gas chromatography with a micropacked Molesieve 5A column in standard coil format. Molecular sieve 5A is a synthetic zeolite with a pore size of about 5 Å, hence the designation 5A.
