The Unigloves Mint Pearl nitrile gloves add a light, cool shade of green to the Pearl range, which stands out clearly from bolder colours such as Green or Cobalt. They are powder-free, latex-free, thiuram-free and protein-free, fully dipped in nitrile, with textured fingertips for a secure grip and a rolled cuff. The Mint Pearl nitrile gloves are sold in a carton containing 1,000 gloves (10 boxes of 100 each), in five sizes from XS to XL with a comparatively snug fit.
Tight fit: width tolerance of just ± 3 mm
Mint Pearl is one of the Pearl colours with the tightest documented manufacturing tolerance: The width is 76 mm (± 3 mm) for XS, 84 mm (± 3 mm) for S, 94 mm (± 3 mm) for M, 105 mm (± 3 mm) for L and 113 mm (± 3 mm). This ensures a comparatively consistent fit between individual packs of the same size. The length is at least 240 mm for all sizes, whilst the thickness at the palm is 0.07 mm (± 0.02 mm). The data sheet does not specify values for the fingertips or cuff. The median tear strength is at least 6.0 N both before and after artificial ageing.
Chemical protection in accordance with EN ISO 374, Category III, Type C
Mint Pearl is certified as a chemical-protective glove in accordance with EN ISO 374-1, Category III, Type C, and also provides protection against viruses, fungi and bacteria in accordance with EN ISO 374-5. A permeation level of 6 was determined for 40 per cent sodium hydroxide solution in accordance with EN 374-4, which corresponds to the highest level on the scale, with a degradation rate of minus 5.3 per cent. Manufacturing takes place under a quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021; the type examination in accordance with Modules B and C2 of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 is carried out by CCQS (Notified Body 2834). With an AQL value of 1.5, the glove achieves a high level of impermeability in the watertightness test; it is also food-safe.
Typical applications
Mint Pearl is suitable wherever a light, cheerful contrasting colour is required against darker ward colours:
- laboratories and medical practices that use mint as a light contrasting colour alongside darker pearl colours
- Food processing, thanks to food-grade certification
- Work involving 40 per cent sodium hydroxide solution and comparable chemicals within the scope of the tested EN 374 Category III
- Facilities with a narrow size range that benefit from the comparatively low manufacturing tolerance of ± 3 mm
For example, Mint Pearl is suitable for wards where a light but not garish shade is desired, whilst neighbouring areas are colour-coded with more vibrant Pearl colours.
Mint Pearl in the Pearl range
Mint Pearl is one of twelve colours in the Unigloves Pearl range available from us.
