Unigloves Violet Pearl Nitrile Gloves, Violet, Powder-free, Size M, GP0073

Product information "Unigloves Violet Pearl Nitrile Gloves, Violet, Powder-free, Size M, GP0073"

The Unigloves Violet Pearl nitrile gloves add a cool shade of violet to the Pearl range, which stands out clearly from warmer colours such as orange or yellow. They are powder-free, latex-free, thiuram-free and protein-free, fully nitrile-dipped, with textured fingertips and a rolled cuff. The Violet Pearl nitrile gloves are sold in a carton containing 1,000 gloves (10 boxes of 100 each), in five sizes from XS to XL.

A thickness of 0.07 mm and a narrow width tolerance

Like Mint Pearl, Violet Pearl is also one of the colours with the tighter manufacturing tolerance of ± 3 mm: The width is 76 mm for XS, 84 mm for S, 94 mm for M, 105 mm for L and 113 mm for XL, in each case within this tolerance. The thickness at the palm is 0.07 mm (± 0.02 mm); no figures are available for the fingertips or cuff. The length is at least 240 mm in all sizes, and the median tensile strength is at least 6.0 N both before and after artificial ageing.

Certified to EN 455 and EN ISO 374, Category III, Type C

Violet Pearl is classified as a Category III, Type C chemical-resistant glove in accordance with EN ISO 374-1 and also provides protection against viruses, fungi and bacteria in accordance with EN ISO 374-5. In a test with 40 per cent sodium hydroxide solution in accordance with EN 374-4, the highest permeation level 6 was achieved, with a degradation rate of minus 5.3 per cent. Manufacturing takes place under a quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021; the type examination in accordance with Modules B and C2 of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 is carried out by CCQS (Notified Body 2834). With an AQL value of 1.5 in the watertightness test, the glove is also food-safe.

Typical applications

Violet Pearl is suitable as a standalone marking colour wherever a work area needs to stand out clearly from neighbouring stations:

  • Businesses that use violet as a distinct colour alongside other Pearl colours, for example for specialised or special processes
  • Food processing, thanks to food-grade certification
  • Working with 40 per cent sodium hydroxide solution and similar chemicals within the scope of the tested EN 374 Category III
  • Firms operating within a narrow size range that benefit from a manufacturing tolerance of ± 3 mm

For example, purple can be specifically reserved for a single station, whilst the remaining areas of a facility remain colour-coded with other Pearl colours.

Packaging and handling

Like the other nitrile gloves in this range, Violet Pearl is a non-sterile, single-use glove that can be worn on either hand. As the carton is divided into 10 boxes of 100 gloves each, only one box can be opened at a time and made available at a single workstation, whilst the remaining nine boxes remain unopened and within easy reach in the storeroom until they are needed.

Violet Pearl in the Pearl family

Violet Pearl is one of twelve colours in the Unigloves Pearl range with us. In the neighbouring colour spectrum, the Magenta Pearl with a warmer shade of pink and the Cobalt Pearl with a cooler, deeper shade of blue. All colours in the range share the same basic construction, made from fully-dipped nitrile, but differ, according to their respective data sheets, in details such as material thickness, width tolerance and scope of certification.
