Small components, tweezers or small laboratory parts often do not require a large bath volume, but rather a reliable temperature and simple digital control. The Bandelin SONOREX DIGITEC DT 100 H offers exactly that in a compact design: a total volume of 3.0 l, a working capacity of 2.0 l, and push-button operation with an LED display showing the remaining time and bath temperature. For a laboratory workstation or a workbench in a workshop, a footprint of 260 x 160 x 250 millimetres is sufficient.

Compact volume for small batches

With a total volume of 3.0 l and a working capacity of 2.0 l, the DT 100 H is designed for smaller cleaning volumes; an oscillating system delivers 80 watts of rated power and 320 watts of peak power. This is sufficient for individual tools, small metal or plastic parts, and laboratory accessories that do not accumulate in large batches. The internal dimensions of the tank are 240 x 140 x 100 millimetres.

Buttons instead of a rotary knob, a display instead of a scale

Buttons are used for operation instead of a rotary knob, whilst an LED display shows the remaining time as well as the setpoint and actual bath temperature simultaneously. The time can be selected in fixed increments from 1 to 30 minutes or set to continuous operation, in each case with a tolerance of ±5 per cent. The appliance switches off automatically after 12 hours without any buttons being pressed.

Heating up to 80 degrees Celsius

The 140-watt heating power covers a temperature range of 20 to 80 degrees Celsius; a dry-run protection feature prevents damage should the tub accidentally run without water. Additionally, the unit features SweepTec for even sound distribution, DEGAS for rapid degassing, and a pulse function for varying cleaning intensity.

DT 100 H or DT 512 H: which model is right for you

For small quantities such as tweezers, spectacles, jewellery or individual laboratory items, the DT 100 H with a 3.0-litre capacity is the right choice. If you regularly process larger batches, such as several laboratory bottles or bulkier items, the DT 512 H, with a total volume of 13.0 l and significantly higher performance, is the more suitable addition to the range.

Difference from the SUPER RK 100 H and smart ST 102 H

The SUPER RK 100 H, which is of identical construction, has the same tank size but is operated via a traditional rotary knob, without a digital display or the DEGAS function. The smart ST 102 H offers more advanced technical features: a touchscreen, power adjustment from 10 to 100 per cent in 1-per-cent increments, a freely selectable timer up to 8 hours and 12 programme memory slots. The DIGITEC DT 100 H falls somewhere in between and offers digital time and temperature control with a reasonable level of operational complexity.

Operation without a drain tap

The DT 100 H has no drain or ball valve; the data sheet explicitly states ‘drain: -’ here. To change the cleaning fluid, the tank is emptied directly or drained using a suction device. The K 3 C hanging basket or the PK 2 C plastic basket, as well as the D 100 lid, both available separately, are compatible with the unit. The power cable is permanently fitted and measures 2 metres; the unit can be connected to either 230 V or 115 V at 50/60 Hz.
