Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 H – Ultrasonic bath with heating for professional laboratory use

The SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 H from Bandelin is a high-performance ultrasonic bath with heating for daily use in laboratories, medical practices and industrial quality assurance. With a total capacity of 28.0 litres and a usable working capacity of 19.0 litres, the unit offers sufficient capacity to clean several laboratory glassware items, instruments or small parts simultaneously. The ultrasonic tank and housing are made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a wall thickness of 1.0 mm in the tank, ensuring high resistance to common cleaning agents and a long service life in everyday laboratory use. As a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and in compliance with the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS Directives, the ultrasonic bath is also suitable for regulated environments such as medical practices and healthcare-related laboratory facilities. Typical users include analytical, microbiology and quality assurance laboratories, as well as dental and medical practices where instruments, glassware or small parts need to be cleaned on a regular basis.

SweepTec technology and thermostatically controlled heating

The integrated SweepTec function modulates the ultrasonic field fully automatically, thereby preventing standing waves in the cleaning fluid. The result is a particularly uniform cavitation effect throughout the entire tank volume and, consequently, reproducible cleaning performance. Operating at a frequency of 35 kHz, the unit generates a peak ultrasonic power of 1200 W at a rated power of 300 W. The 1300 W heater allows the bath temperature to be thermostatically adjusted between 30 and 80 °C, enabling the cleaning effect to be adapted to different types of soiling and cleaning concentrates. The cleaning duration can be set between 1 and 15 minutes (±5 %) using the timer function; alternatively, continuous operation is available. The SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 H is operated via robust rotary knobs for setting the cleaning time and bath temperature, supplemented by a fill-level mark to ensure the tank is filled correctly.

Applications: Instrument cleaning, degassing and laboratory glassware cleaning

This heated ultrasonic bath is suitable for a wide range of cleaning tasks in everyday laboratory and clinical practice: from the gentle cleaning of sensitive laboratory instruments, through the degassing of solvents prior to analytical applications, to the cleaning of laboratory glassware, pipettes, flasks and other small parts. The side-mounted drain with a G 3/4 ball valve and a 50 cm hose facilitates regular water changes, whilst side handles ensure safe transport of the unit. With an IP 32 protection rating and a permanently fitted 2 m power cable, the housing is robustly designed for stationary use in a laboratory environment. For a variety of cleaning tasks, the ultrasonic bath can also be used in combination with suitable cleaning and disinfection concentrates, which are available as separate accessories, allowing the cleaning effect to be tailored to the degree of soiling and the material of the items being cleaned.
