The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 ultrasonic bath is a high-performance cleaning system from the SUPER-RK series, designed for professional use in laboratories, hospitals and industry. With a tank capacity of 28 litres and a usable working volume of 19 litres, this ultrasonic bath offers sufficient space for larger batches of laboratory glassware, instruments and small parts. The tank is made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a wall thickness of 1.0 mm and is therefore designed for continuous use in demanding laboratory environments where cleaning takes place several times a day.
Typical applications for this ultrasonic bath include the gentle cleaning of laboratory glassware and small parts, the cleaning of instruments in medical practices and hospitals, and the degassing of solvents prior to analytical processes. SweepTec technology and intuitive operation
A key feature is the fully automatic SweepTec function, which prevents standing waves in the ultrasonic field and thus ensures uniform cleaning performance throughout the entire tank volume – including in the peripheral areas of the tank, which are often cleaned less thoroughly in simpler ultrasonic baths. Operation is via a simple rotary knob for setting the cleaning duration, selectable between 1 and 15 minutes (± 5 per cent) or in continuous operation for longer cleaning cycles. A fill-level mark facilitates correct filling with cleaning or disinfectant solution, whilst the G 3/4 ball valve fitted on the side, complete with a 50 cm hose, allows for straightforward and back-friendly emptying of the tank.
Side handles ensure safe transport and handling during everyday laboratory use, whilst the 2-metre power cable, which is permanently attached to the unit, provides additional flexibility when positioning the unit at the workstation. Classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and with an IP 32 protection rating, the SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 is also suitable for regulated environments such as medical practices or hospital wards, where traceability and documentation requirements are important.
