SONOREX SUPER RK 1040 ultrasonic bath for professional laboratory cleaning
The SONOREX SUPER RK 1040 ultrasonic bath from Bandelin is designed for demanding use in laboratories, medical practices and industrial quality assurance. With a total capacity of 39.5 litres and a working capacity of 28.0 litres, the tank offers sufficient volume to clean even larger batches of laboratory glassware, instruments or small parts in a single cycle. Typical applications include the cleaning and sterilisation of instruments, the degassing of solvents prior to analytical processes, and the gentle cleaning of laboratory glassware, pipettes and other small parts where mechanical brushing is not an option.
The ultrasonic bath is made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a wall thickness of 2.5 mm; the housing is also made of 1.4301 stainless steel. This choice of materials ensures high resistance to the cleaning agents and disinfectants commonly used in everyday laboratory work, as well as a long service life even under intensive continuous use. A fill-level mark makes it easier to fill the bath correctly, and the ball valve (G ¾) fitted on the side, with a 50 cm hose, allows the bath to be emptied easily and cleanly without having to tip the unit over.
Consistent cleaning results thanks to SweepTec technology
The SONOREX SUPER RK 1040 operates at an ultrasonic frequency of 35 kHz with a rated power of 380 W (peak power 1520 W). The fully automatic SweepTec function prevents standing waves in the ultrasonic field, thereby ensuring consistent, reproducible cleaning results across the entire tank surface – an important consideration when cleaning delicate or irregularly shaped items simultaneously. The cleaning duration can be conveniently adjusted via a rotary knob within a range of 1 to 15 minutes (± 5 per cent); alternatively, continuous operation is available. The unit is designed for operation at 230 V~ (±10 %), 50/60 Hz and is fitted with a permanently attached, 2-metre-long mains cable. The housing has an IP 32 protection rating.
