Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 1050: robust ultrasonic bath for laboratory and industrial use

The SONOREX SUPER RK 1050 is a high-performance ultrasonic bath from Bandelin with a total capacity of 58 litres and a usable working volume of 41 litres. This makes it one of the large-volume models in the SONOREX SUPER RK series and is ideal for applications where large quantities of items need to be cleaned in a single operation. The welded ultrasonic tank, made from 1.4404 stainless steel (wall thickness 2.0 mm), and the housing, made from 1.4301 stainless steel, are designed for robust, continuous use in everyday laboratory and industrial environments and offer high resistance to cleaning agents and mechanical stress. With an ultrasonic frequency of 35 kHz, a rated power of 600 W and a peak power of 2,400 W, the unit delivers sufficient energy to reliably clean even larger batches and heavily soiled parts. Operation is simple via a rotary knob; a fill-level mark inside the tank facilitates precise filling with cleaning fluid, meaning the unit can be integrated into existing laboratory workflows without the need for extensive training.

Applications: Instrument cleaning, degassing and cleaning of laboratory glassware

Thanks to its large working volume, the RK 1050 is suitable for a wide range of laboratory applications: from the gentle cleaning of sensitive instruments, through the degassing of solvents prior to analysis, to the thorough cleaning of laboratory glassware, pipettes and other small parts. The tank also offers sufficient capacity for larger batches of tools or components from related industrial sectors, allowing several items to be processed simultaneously in a single cleaning cycle. The timer can be adjusted continuously from 1 to 15 minutes (±5 per cent); alternatively, a continuous operation mode (∞) is available for longer cleaning cycles or the continuous degassing of liquids. This allows the cleaning duration to be flexibly adapted to items with varying degrees of soiling.

SweepTec technology for consistent cleaning results

The integrated SweepTec function operates fully automatically and prevents the formation of standing waves in the ultrasonic field. This ensures that the ultrasonic energy is distributed particularly evenly throughout the tank, resulting in more consistent and reproducible cleaning results – regardless of the position of the items being cleaned within the tank. For draining the cleaning fluid, the unit is fitted with a G 3/4" ball valve with a 50 cm hose on the left-hand side of the unit, allowing the tank to be emptied conveniently without having to lift or tilt it. The power cable (2 m) is permanently fitted to the unit and operates at a supply voltage of 230 V~ (±10 %), 50/60 Hz. With an IP 32 protection rating, the housing is protected against occasional splashing water, and as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745, the unit also complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU.
