SONOREX SUPER RK 512 H ultrasonic bath with heating for everyday laboratory use

The SONOREX SUPER RK 512 H is an ultrasonic bath with heating designed for cleaning tasks in everyday laboratory and clinical practice. With a total volume of 13 litres and a usable working capacity of 8.7 litres, the stainless steel tank offers sufficient space for laboratory glassware, small parts and instruments. The ultrasonic cleaning operates at a frequency of 35 kHz with a peak power of 860 W and an effective rated power of 215 W, reliably and gently removing adhering dirt, residues and deposits. Thanks to its compact external dimensions of 325 x 265 x 350 mm, the ultrasonic bath can be flexibly positioned on laboratory benches, workbenches or in smaller cleaning stations without taking up much space. Thanks to the combination of powerful ultrasonic cleaning and adjustable heating, the SONOREX SUPER RK 512 H is suitable both for occasional use at a single workstation and for regular use in laboratories with a higher throughput of small parts and glassware requiring cleaning.

Laboratory applications

Typical applications for this ultrasonic bath include the cleaning of laboratory glassware and small parts, the pre-cleaning and preparation of instruments, and the degassing of solvents prior to analytical applications. Thanks to its comparatively large working capacity of 8.7 litres, the unit is also suitable for the routine cleaning of pipettes, sample vessels and other small parts used in everyday laboratory work. The integrated heater allows temperature control from 30 to 80 degrees Celsius, which further enhances the cleaning effect on more stubborn residues and enables a process temperature tailored to the specific application and cleaning agent. The cleaning duration and bath temperature can be set directly and easily on the unit using the rotary knob; the timer covers a range of 1 to 15 minutes (±5 per cent) as well as continuous operation, so that both short cleaning cycles and longer applications can be carried out. A fill-level mark inside the tank facilitates correct and repeatable filling with cleaning fluid.

Robust construction for continuous use

The tank and housing of the ultrasonic bath are made of 1.4301 stainless steel; the ultrasonic tank itself has a wall thickness of 1.0 mm, indicating a robust design tailored for everyday laboratory use. A G 3/4 ball valve on the side, fitted with a 50 cm hose, allows the cleaning fluid to be drained easily and cleanly without having to lift or tilt the tank. Handles on the sides make it easy to move the unit, whilst the fixed, 2-metre-long mains cable ensures straightforward connection to a 230 V power supply. With an IP 32 protection rating, the housing is protected against occasional splashing water. The unit is CE-compliant as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation 2017/745/EU and also complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU.
