SONOREX SUPER RK 514: Ultrasonic bath for professional laboratory use

The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 514 is a high-performance ultrasonic bath with a total capacity of 13.5 litres and a working capacity of 9.0 litres, designed for daily use in laboratories, medical practices, clinics and workshops. With an ultrasonic frequency of 35 kHz and an effective rated power of 215 W (peak power 860 W), the unit generates intense cavitation bubbles that reliably remove contaminants whilst being gentle on materials – even in hard-to-reach areas such as cavities, threads or fine openings in instruments and small parts. Thanks to the combination of frequency and rated power, the bath is suitable for both more delicate cleaning tasks and more stubborn soiling, without placing excessive strain on the objects being cleaned.

The tank and housing are made of 1.4301 stainless steel; the tank has a wall thickness of 1.0 mm, ensuring high robustness and a long service life even with intensive use of aqueous cleaning or disinfectant solutions. The timer is conveniently operated via a rotary knob with a range of 1 to 15 minutes (tolerance ±5 per cent) and a continuous operation setting for longer cleaning cycles, allowing the treatment duration to be individually adjusted to different levels of soiling. For easy draining, the ultrasonic bath features a G 3/4 ball valve with a 50 cm long hose on the left-hand side of the unit, as well as a fill level mark for precise dosing of the cleaning solution. Handles on both sides facilitate handling and transport in everyday laboratory use, whilst the fixed 2 m long mains lead ensures flexible placement at the workstation. The operating voltage of 230 V~ (±10 %) at 50/60 Hz allows connection to standard laboratory power circuits.

The SONOREX SUPER RK 514 is suitable for a wide range of cleaning tasks in everyday laboratory work. These include instrument cleaning in medical, dental and veterinary facilities as a pre-cleaning step prior to sterilisation, the degassing of solvents prior to analytical applications, and the cleaning of laboratory glassware, pipettes, electrodes and other small parts to remove residues, deposits or contaminants. Thanks to its continuously adjustable timer and robust stainless-steel tank, the ultrasonic bath can be flexibly integrated into various cleaning processes – both for one-off use as part of individual work steps and for recurring routine tasks in reprocessing units. The housing’s IP 32 protection rating and its classification as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 make the device a reliable fixture in professional environments; it also meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU.
