The Bandelin SONOREX ZE 1031 is a built-in ultrasonic bath designed for under-counter installation: The TE 1031 oscillating tank holds 29.0 l; the GT 503 M-C generator is a separate unit; and operation is controlled via the ST 15.1 control unit using a single rotary knob.
Tank and installation
The internal dimensions are 510 x 300 mm with a depth of 200/220+ mm; the tank base is sloped and the corners are rounded. The material is 1.4404 stainless steel with a thickness of 2.0 mm. A fill level mark assists with filling; the working capacity is 20.0 out of 29.0 l. The tank has a 1½-inch beaded edge for drainage. The external dimensions of the oscillating tank are 570 x 360 x 270/290 mm, and the degree of protection is IP 30. The permissible ambient temperature is 5 to 40 °C.
Install the generator and control unit separately
The GT 503 M-C ultrasonic generator is housed in a separate, painted aluminium casing measuring 360 x 310 x 142 mm, with an IP 20 protection rating and a mounting bracket for vertical installation. A 2 m long connection cable with an AMP-CPC plug connects it to the tank; the mains cable is permanently attached to the ST 15.1 control unit. The generator supplies eight vibration systems on the base with a rated power of 300 watts; the peak power is 1,200 watts and the frequency is 35 kHz.
Operation via rotary knob
The ST 15.1 sets the time from 1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or switches to continuous operation. It also features the pulse function and Sweep, the SweepTec automatic frequency control. If you wish to monitor the bath temperature or use DEGAS, choose the SONOREX ZE 1031 DT: it features the same TE 1031 bath and the same generator, but comes with the ST 30.1 DT control unit, which includes a temperature sensor and temperature display.
Position within the SONOREX ZE range
The 29-litre tank is available in two power ratings. The ZE 1031 has a peak power output of 1,200 watts and eight vibration systems on the base. The SONOREX ZE 1032, with the same tank volume, has 1,760 watts, a wider oscillating tank and an additional four vibration systems on the side. Larger tanks with a capacity of 46 l are the ZE 1058 and the ZE 1059.
Accessories for the TE 1031 tank
There are several parts to choose from for operation. The K 29 EM insert basket hangs in a basket holder; the KT 30 and KT 30 Z models are available with handles. The SM 29 silicone studded mat is supplied in a set of two when ordered. The D 30 lid or the D 1031 G hinged lid are available as covers, and the G 1 ½ Type V drain fitting fits the groove in the bath base. The KW 28-0 drop-in bath with lid is another accessory. The FT 36 film test frame is already included with the bath.

Frequently asked questions
Is the generator included in the scope of delivery? Yes, the GT 503 M-C ultrasonic generator is included, as are the ST 15.1 control unit and the 2-metre-long connection cable to the generator.
Does the bath display the temperature? The temperature sensor, temperature display and overtemperature warning are part of the ST 30.1 DT control unit in the DT version. The ST 15.1 control unit for this model sets the time and continuous operation.
What power supply is required? 230 V~ (± 10 %) at 50/60 Hz. The current consumption is 1.4 A.
Does it come with a cover? No. The D 30 cover and the D 1031 G hinged cover are accessories and are ordered separately.
