The Binder ED 56 from the Avantgarde.Line series is a highly efficient drying and heating cabinet with natural convection (gravity convection), designed for routine drying and sterilisation tasks up to 300 °C. With an internal volume of 57 litres, this model offers the ideal balance between footprint and capacity for the standard laboratory. The strength of the ED series lies in its gentle process control: by omitting a fan, dusty or light samples are not blown about, which effectively prevents cross-contamination.

APT.line™ technology and energy efficiency

Thanks to the advanced APT.line™ preheating chamber technology, the ED 56 guarantees extremely uniform temperature distribution, even when fully loaded. The air is conditioned in a separate chamber and flows evenly into the interior, eliminating ‘hotspots’. Another key focus is on sustainability: thanks to optimised insulation and airflow, this model is up to 30% more energy-efficient than comparable devices on the market, which noticeably reduces running costs over the long term.

Ease of use and data security

The modern controller with LCD display allows for intuitive setting of temperature and timer functions. The electromechanically controlled exhaust air flap enables precise control of air exchange to optimise drying processes. For comprehensive documentation (e.g. as part of quality management systems), the unit is fitted as standard with a USB port, via which process data can be easily recorded.
