Perfect temperature uniformity thanks to APT.line™ preheating chamber technology
The fluid-mechanical design of the KB 260 is based on BINDER’s patented APT.line™ preheating chamber technology. This sophisticated ventilation system directs the air flow into the interior via the jacket walls on both sides. This transient airflow ensures an absolutely homogeneous temperature distribution across all axes of the chamber – regardless of how densely the rack shelves are loaded with samples. Coupled with a high-performance refrigeration unit featuring highly efficient compressor technology, the system reacts at lightning speed to temperature fluctuations and achieves extremely short recovery times after the door is opened, which reliably minimises condensation build-up.
Robust materials science and excellent ergonomics
The mechanical system architecture reflects uncompromising industrial quality: with a substantial net weight of 174 kg, the incubator stands absolutely vibration-free and stable on the laboratory floor, thereby protecting sensitive cell cultures or crystallisation processes from transient vibrations. The interior is made of high-purity, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and features rounded corners, facilitating gentle and residue-free disinfection. To meet the most stringent audit requirements in accordance with GLP/GMP guidelines, the system features an internal data logger, the measurements from which can be easily exported via an integrated USB interface. An independent Class 3.1 temperature safety monitor (DIN 12880) provides continuous protection for your valuable samples against thermal overload by automatically triggering a visual and audible alarm in the event of a malfunction.
