The Brand Transferpette S Pipette Set M (’Medium’ version) combines three essential volume ranges for routine manual liquid handling in a cost-effective package. It provides seamless coverage of the range from 10 µl to 5 ml, making it the ideal starter kit for preparative work, PCR set-ups (master mix) and cell culture applications where both micro- and macro-volumes need to be pipetted. The set is based on the latest generation of the Transferpette S, which stands out thanks to its full autoclavability and significantly improved ergonomics.

Ergonomics and operating concept

The Transferpette S is designed for genuine one-handed operation. Volume adjustment, pipetting and tip ejection can all be carried out with one hand without changing your grip. A key feature is the lockable volume adjustment guard: this reliably prevents the set volume from being accidentally altered during the pipetting process – a common source of error in hectic laboratory routines. The side-mounted pipetting button and the separate ejection button noticeably reduce strain on the thumb (RSI prevention).

Material quality and sterility

Unlike partially autoclavable models, the Transferpette S can be autoclaved fully assembled at 121 °C (2 bar). This minimises the risk of contamination and saves time, as no dismantling is required. Long-term precision is ensured by the ‘Easy Calibration’ technology: adjustment (e.g. for high-density or high-viscosity media) can be carried out without tools and within seconds, with a red marker clearly indicating that the factory setting has been changed.
