Bürkle PharmaPicker Case, complete set, V4A stainless steel, 0.1 to 2.5 ml, 5346-0010

An active ingredient powder, measured in milligrams, cannot be sampled using a standard scoop; every excess millilitre costs money or alters the analysis result. Bürkle’s PharmaPicker system covers precisely this range: sample volumes from 0.1 to 2.5 millilitres, taken using a set of tools from a carrying case, fully equipped for immediate use.

Two collection vials for two volume ranges

At the heart of the system are two interchangeable collection vials: one for 0.1 to 1.2 millilitres, and one for 1.25 to 2.5 millilitres. Each collection vial is attached to the handle and adjusted to the required sample volume using the appropriate volume tips. The case contains ten volume tips ranging from 0.4 to 2.5 millilitres, allowing the sample volume to be fine-tuned to the specific powder in small increments, without having to order a different device for each batch. Which of the two collection bombs is fitted at any given time depends solely on the required sample volume, not on the type of powder.

From 60 centimetres up to 3.50 metres

In its standard configuration, the PharmaPicker measures 60 centimetres. Two extension rods, 50 and 100 centimetres long, can be inserted individually or together between the handle and the collection bomb, extending the tool to up to 3.50 metres. This covers both reaching into a small laboratory container and taking samples from a tall IBC or silo, without the need for two separate devices. The appropriate length can therefore be assembled before each sampling to suit the depth of the container in question.

A case for the complete system

Both collection bombs, the handle, both extension rods and all volumetric tips are stored together in the carrying case. This keeps the small parts together during transport between the goods reception area and production areas and makes it easier to trace which components belong to which batch. For a single set at a fixed workstation, only one order needs to be placed, and during stock-taking, the case can be used to quickly check whether all parts are present.

Manufactured for contact with active ingredients

The parts in contact with the medium are made of V4A stainless steel (1.4404, AISI 316L), tested in accordance with EU Regulation 1935/2004 for food contact. This choice of material withstands frequent cleaning between different active substances – which is necessary in pharmaceutical sampling to prevent cross-contamination – and can also withstand more aggressive cleaning agents without corrosion.

When only one collection bomb is required

If a collection bomb is lost or a second one is required for a parallel workstation, there is no need to order a whole new case straight away. The collection bomb for 0.1 to 1.2 millilitres and the collection bomb for 1.25 to 2.5 millilitres are also available from LT Laborhandel as standalone items, each with its own item number.
