Elma Elmasonic Easy 180H Ultrasonic Bath with Heating, 17.8 Litre, 37 kHz, 1118900

Industrial parts, filters and laboratory glassware are among the items to be cleaned that Elma names for the Easy series. For this, the Elma Elmasonic Easy 180H has a tank with internal dimensions of 300 x 270 x 195 mm and 17.8 litres total volume, with 14.2 litres recommended as working volume. It operates at 37 kHz and 200 W effective ultrasonic power, and the heater has 800 W. The target groups of the series include workshops, metalworking companies and manufacturers of industrial parts.

Tank area and basket

The fill level is 165 mm. The modular cleaning basket 180 (Art. 1113404) measures 280 x 255 x 135 mm internally and may be loaded with up to 8.0 kg, and it is 130 mm from the basket floor to the liquid level. On the Easy 120H the basket is 250 x 195 mm, so with the 180H you gain 30 mm in width and 60 mm in depth. The tank height of 195 mm and the ultrasonic and heating power are the same on both models.

Heating and electrics

The temperature is adjustable between 25 and 80 °C, and at a bath temperature of 90 °C the unit switches off for safety reasons. In total the 180H draws 1,000 W. It has a fan, an IEC power connector for 220 to 240 V~ and 50/60 Hz, as well as protection rating IP20 and protection class I. With lid at a distance of 1 m, the sound pressure level stays below 80 dB(A).

Drain and accessories for the tank

The G 3/8 inch drain is opened with a rotary knob, the hose goes onto the connection with 12 mm internal diameter, and the hose nozzle is included in the scope of delivery. Accessories available are the stainless steel lid 180 (Art. 1111934), plastic lid 180 (Art. 1003286 ultramarine blue, 1101141 cobalt blue, 1071698 silver grey), the insert lid 1 for four cleaning glasses or beakers (Art. 1111921), the drain strainer (Art. 1045648) and the cooling coil (Art. 1037515).

Two rotary knobs, two modes

Duration and temperature are set with rotary knobs, the mode button selects Eco and Dynamic, and the unit is started and stopped with the start/stop button. The time steps run from 1 to 30 minutes, and in the ON position the unit stops by itself after 6 hours at most. Eco is quieter, Dynamic more intensive. After 8 hours without operation the unit switches off, and LED indicators replace a display.

Placement within the series

At 8.5 kg (with lid) and external dimensions of 405 x 375 x 330 mm, the 180H needs more space than the 120H (380 x 315 x 330 mm). The tank gets longer on the Easy 300H: 475 x 270 x 195 mm at 27.5 litres and 300 W effective power. The tank depth of 270 mm and the tank height of 195 mm are the same as on the 180H.
