Elma Elmasonic Select 180 Ultrasonic Bath with Heating, 17.8 Litre, 37 kHz, 1106994

Among other things, the Select series cleans volumetric measuring equipment, test tubes and other laboratory instruments. For this, the Elma Elmasonic Select 180 has a tank of 300 x 270 x 195 mm, 17.8 litres total volume and 14.2 litres recommended working volume. The ultrasonic frequency is 37 kHz, the effective power 200 W, and the heater delivers 800 W. Of the Select sizes with a tank height of 195 mm, the unit has the second-largest footprint after the Select 300.

Tank and basket

The fill level is 165 mm, and it is 130 mm from the basket floor to the liquid level. The original accessory basket measures 280 x 250 x 115 mm internally and may be loaded with up to 8 kg, which is more than on the Select sizes 100 and 120 with 6 and 7 kg. Compared with the basket of the Select 120 at 250 x 190 x 110 mm, it is 30 mm longer and 60 mm deeper. Externally the unit measures 405 x 360 x 330 mm with lid and weighs 10.2 kg. A plastic lid is included in the scope of delivery, which can be turned upside down and used as a drip tray for the basket.

Five modes, four programs

The modes Eco, Sweep, Pulse, Dynamic and Degas cover gentle cleaning, even distribution of the action, increased peak power, the combination of both, and degassing. The ultrasonic peak power is 800 W, and the total power consumption is 1,000 W. Mode, duration and temperature can be stored in four programs, and Auto-Degas and the temperature-controlled start are also available. The duration can be set from 1 minute to 6 hours.

Draining and protection

The G 3/8 inch drain connection is opened and closed with a rotary switch, and the DN10 hose nozzle is included. The setpoint temperature can be selected between 25 and 80 °C, and the limit temperature between 40 and 60 °C. With active heating, dry-run protection safeguards the unit, and after 8 hours without operation it switches off. With lid, the sound pressure level at a distance of 1 m stays below 80 dB(A). The protection rating is IP20 and the protection class I.

Select 180 or a neighbouring size

The Elmasonic Select 120 has the same tank length and height, 300 x 215 x 195 mm, and with 12.9 litres a smaller volume, at the same ultrasonic and heating power. The Elmasonic Select 150 offers 300 W effective in a shallow tank of 485 x 280 x 95 mm. Anyone who needs the length of 475 mm will find 27.5 litres in the Elmasonic Select 300 at the same depth of 270 mm and the same height of 195 mm.
