Elma Elmasonic Select 120 Ultrasonic Bath with Heating, 12.9 Litre, 37 kHz, 1106992

The tank of the Elma Elmasonic Select 120 is 195 mm high, 50 mm more than on the Select models 60, 80 and 100. This shows in the fill level, which is 165 mm here, and in the 12.9 litres total volume. The unit operates at 37 kHz, and the effective ultrasonic power is 200 W.

Dimensions and basket

Internally the tank measures 300 x 215 x 195 mm, with 10 litres of working volume recommended. From the basket floor to the liquid level it is 130 mm. The original accessory basket has internal dimensions of 250 x 190 x 110 mm and can be loaded with up to 7 kg. Externally the unit measures 380 x 300 x 330 mm with lid and weighs 7.7 kg. Compared with the Select 100, the external height grows from 280 to 330 mm, while width and depth stay the same at 380 x 300 mm. The plastic lid in the scope of delivery, turned upside down, serves as a drip tray for a basket.

Power in detail

The ultrasonic peak power is 800 W, the heater delivers 800 W, and the total power consumption is 1,000 W. The Select 100 has 150 W effective ultrasonic power, 600 W peak and 400 W heating power, while here each value is higher. The available operating modes are Eco, Sweep, Pulse, Dynamic and Degas, and four programs store their settings. The temperature-controlled start and Auto-Degas complement the functions. In Dynamic mode, Pulse and Sweep work together.

Operation, drain and protection

The display shows the set values, the membrane keypad works with plus and minus keys, and every input is confirmed acoustically. The duration can be set from 1 minute to 6 hours, the setpoint temperature from 25 to 80 °C, and the limit temperature from 40 to 60 °C. The G 3/8 inch drain connection has a rotary switch, and the DN10 hose nozzle is included. With active heating, dry-run protection safeguards the tank, and after 8 hours the unit switches off. With lid, the sound pressure level at a distance of 1 m is below 80 dB(A).

Choosing between the Select sizes

Same tank height, different area: the Elmasonic Select 180 at 300 x 270 x 195 mm has the same length and height as the Select 120, but is 55 mm deeper and holds 17.8 litres. Both have 200 W effective ultrasonic power and 800 W heating power. The Elmasonic Select 100 at 280 x 220 x 145 mm is lower. Where area matters more than height, the Elmasonic Select 150 at 485 x 280 x 95 mm is the alternative.
