Frequently asked questions
Is the sticker a dangerous goods mark? No. It is a handling symbol for dispatch. For dangerous goods, the hazard labels and marks of the relevant class apply.
What is the difference between this and the orientation arrows? The glass symbol warns of breakage. The orientation arrows indicate the position of the package; the ADR requires them for certain packages containing liquid dangerous goods.
Will the sticker last outdoors? The manufacturer describes the label as permanently adhesive for indoor and outdoor use and UV-resistant. It does not provide any information regarding seawater for this product.
When does the ADR require the orientation arrows? For composite packaging containing liquid substances in inner packagings, for single packagings with ventilation devices, for cryogenic containers and for machinery containing liquid dangerous goods, in each case on two opposite vertical sides (5.2.1.10.1). Exceptions apply, among other things, to inner packagings of up to 120 ml containing absorbent material and to tightly sealed inner packagings of up to 500 ml. The ‘Fragile’ sticker does not indicate orientation and therefore does not replace the orientation arrows.
How big is the label? It measures 74 x 105 mm, i.e. 7.4 x 10.5 cm. A roll contains 1,000 labels.
