The Hei-TORQUE Expert 200 is designed for stirring applications where a magnetic stirrer is no longer sufficient. With a torque of 200 Ncm and a speed range of 10 to 2,000 rpm, it can handle volumes of up to 50 l (H2O) and media with a viscosity of up to 100,000 mPas, offering twice the power reserve of the smaller 100 Ncm model in the series. As an Expert model, it prioritises simpler operation compared to the Ultimate range.

2.4-inch display instead of ramp programming

The Expert series does away with the ramp programming found in the Ultimate range and instead focuses on a 2.4-inch display, via which speed and other application parameters can be set directly. The torque trend display shows the process progression as a numerical value, without the need for any additional software on a PC. Those who do not require multi-stage stirring profiles will usually achieve their results more quickly with this simpler operation.

Connection to a PC or higher-level control system

The Expert 200 also features USB and RS232 ports, allowing it to be connected to a PC, a programmable logic controller (PLC) or an automation system such as LabManager. The Hei-Control software, supplied free of charge, handles remote control and data logging for up to four devices simultaneously, a useful feature in laboratories with multiple stirring stations connected to a shared workstation.

Safety for everyday use in the laboratory

Weighing 5.1 kilograms, the Expert 200 is slightly heavier than the smallest Ultimate model, whilst having the same dimensions of 86 x 350 x 247 millimetres. A KTY temperature monitoring system protects the motor from overheating; in the event of an overload, the unit switches off automatically with a visual indication. The start/stop function is touch-sensitive, which reduces the risk of accidental activation when mounting the unit on a stand. Even during continuous operation, the EC motor remains pleasantly quiet at under 70 dB(A).

Select the mixing tool to suit the application

The quick-release chuck with safety ring accommodates mixing shafts with diameters ranging from 2.5 to 10.5 millimetres; it is compatible with the entire range of mixing attachments, from anchor and paddle mixers through to turbine mixers and Visco-Jet tools. A mixing attachment is not included with the drive unit and must be selected separately according to viscosity and vessel size.

If you require ramp programming with multiple speed stages and more detailed process documentation, you will find these functions, with the same torque, in the Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 200. If a torque of 200 Ncm is no longer sufficient, the Hei-TORQUE Expert 400, featuring a two-stage gearbox and 400 Ncm, is available. Heidolph Scientific Products GmbH, Schwabach, provides a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This excludes glass and wear parts, damage caused during transport and damage resulting from improper use. If the instrument is registered with Heidolph, the warranty commences on the date of purchase; otherwise, it commences on the date of manufacture as indicated by the serial number. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
