IKA EUROSTAR 100 digital overhead stirrer with LCD display, up to 100 litres, 0020105157

Product information "IKA EUROSTAR 100 digital overhead stirrer with LCD display, up to 100 litres, 0020105157"

The IKA EUROSTAR 100 digital overhead stirrer (MPN 0020105157) represents a technologically advanced and highly optimised mechatronic generation of compact, high-performance laboratory stirrers. With a significant space saving of up to 23 per cent compared with previous models, this powerhouse delivers maximum functional density within a minimal footprint. Designed for demanding mixing and homogenisation tasks in a B2B environment, the system effortlessly processes sample volumes of up to 100 litres (based on water) as well as highly viscous media up to 70,000 mPas. It provides the ideal, process-reliable basis for routine testing, scale-up simulations and complex material mixing in the chemical, cosmetics and food processing industries.

Innovative torque trend measurement for viscosity monitoring

A metrological highlight of the digital series is the innovative, integrated torque trend measurement. The system records transient changes in the medium’s viscosity with a precision of ±6 Ncm and immediately displays the relative viscosity trend on the clear LCD display. This allows laboratory staff to draw precise mechanical conclusions about the current progress of the reaction at any time. Coupled with microprocessor-controlled, automatic speed adjustment within a range of 30 to 2000 revolutions per minute, the system maintains the programmed speed completely constant even during abrupt load changes, which ensures the long-term reproducibility of the measurement series.

Ergonomic tool change and high occupational safety

When it comes to ergonomics and workplace safety, the EUROSTAR 100 digital consistently relies on error-free and time-efficient operating concepts. The integrated quick-release chuck enables convenient, one-handed changing of stirring shafts and mixing tools without the need for any auxiliary tools. A mechanical lock button or locking function can, if required, securely lock the control panel to prevent unintentional parameter changes during ongoing processes. To protect users and mechanical components, autonomous safety circuits intercept hazardous situations by initiating an immediate automatic shutdown of the stirring drive in the event of a blockage or critical overload of the brushless DC motor.

Industry 4.0 readiness and robust housing design

The long-term durability of the infrastructure is underpinned by a robust composite housing made of coated die-cast aluminium and modern thermoplastic, which is sealed to protection class IP 54 to be splash- and steam-proof. The brushless DC drive operates with virtually no wear, emits a minimal noise level of just 52 dB(A) without the need for tools, and is qualified for an unrestricted duty cycle of 100% in continuous industrial operation. To ensure future-proof integration into digitalised workflows, the unit features USB-C and RS232 interfaces, via which all transient stirring data can be seamlessly documented and automated using the labworldsoft laboratory software ®.
