An outstanding metrological feature of the digital series is the integrated torque trend measurement. The system records transient changes in the medium’s viscosity with an accuracy of ±6 Ncm and displays the relative viscosity trend directly on the clear LCD display. This provides laboratory staff with valuable insights into the current state of the mixing process at all times. Thanks to a sophisticated automatic speed adjustment system covering a wide range from 30 to 2000 revolutions per minute, the stirrer maintains the selected speed absolutely constant even during transient changes in viscosity, thereby ensuring error-free results.

A dedicated lock button protects the system during operation against accidental parameter changes by the user. To reliably prevent mechanical damage or hazardous situations, the stirring drive features autonomous safety circuits which trigger an immediate automatic shutdown in the event of an overload or blockage of the stirring element.

The system’s infrastructure architecture enables straightforward integration into digitised laboratory workstations. Equipped with standard USB-C and RS232 interfaces, the overhead stirrer can be seamlessly connected to a PC and fully controlled and comprehensively documented via the labworldsoft laboratory software ®. The mechanically robust housing consists of a combination of coated die-cast aluminium and sturdy thermoplastic, which meets the demanding IP 54 protection rating.
