Product information "IKA EUROSTAR 20 high-speed digital overhead stirrer with LCD display, up to 6000 rpm, 0020105160"

High-speed mixing technology in a compact design

The IKA EUROSTAR 20 high-speed digital overhead stirrer (MPN 0020105160) represents the modernised, highly optimised mechatronic generation of specialised laboratory stirrers for demanding high-speed applications. With a footprint reduced by up to 23% compared to previous models, this system offers maximum functional density in a minimal footprint. Designed for simple to moderately demanding mixing tasks, this powerhouse handles sample volumes of up to 20 litres (based on water) and reliably covers a viscosity range of up to 10,000 mPas. It provides the ideal process engineering solution for emulsification processes, microstructural homogenisation and intensive mixing cycles in everyday B2B laboratory work.

Innovative torque trend measurement and stepless speed control

The metrological highlight of the EUROSTAR 20 high speed digital is its integrated torque trend measurement, which enables precise monitoring of transient changes in viscosity with an accuracy of ±6 Ncm. The relative viscosity trend is displayed immediately on the clear LCD screen, providing laboratory staff with valuable process feedback on mixing progress. A highly sophisticated automatic speed control system continuously regulates the brushless DC motor across a wide high-speed range from 150 to 6,000 revolutions per minute. The system adapts dynamically to load changes and maintains the set speed absolutely constant, even during transient changes in the material.

Ergonomic tool change and integrated scope of supply

In terms of ergonomics and occupational safety, the system relies on time-efficient and error-free operating concepts. The integrated quick-release chuck allows for convenient, one-handed changing of the stirring shafts without the need for any additional tools. The R 6000 precision stirring shaft, with a length of 280 mm and a maximum immersion depth of 220 mm, is included in the scope of delivery for immediate use. An integrated lock button protects the system during operation against accidental changes to parameters. In the event of a mechanical blockage or critical overload, autonomous electronic safety circuits are activated, triggering an immediate automatic shutdown of the stirring drive.

Digital documentation and robust IP 54 housing design

The long-term durability of the system is underpinned by a solid composite housing made of coated cast aluminium and modern thermoplastic, which is sealed to protection class IP 54 to be splash- and steam-proof. The brushless DC drive operates wear-free and quietly, and is qualified for an unrestricted duty cycle of 100% in continuous industrial operation. Integrated timer and counter functions enable the precise execution of time-controlled experiments. To ensure future-proof integration into networked laboratory workstations and automated processes, the stirrer features USB-C and RS232 interfaces for seamless documentation via the labworldsoft laboratory software ®.
