Maximum power for viscous media: IKA EUROSTAR 200 P4 control

The IKA EUROSTAR 200 P4 control (MPN 0004090000) is an extremely powerful laboratory stirrer designed for applications that push conventional stirrers to their limits. Where other motors overheat or seize up, the P4 is only just getting started: thanks to a special reduction gearbox, it converts speed into pure torque. With 660 Ncm, it is ideally suited for processing highly viscous substances such as adhesives, polymers, pastes or paints with a viscosity of up to 150,000 mPas.

Wireless Control (WiCo): Safety from a distance

Like all models in the “control” series, the EUROSTAR 200 P4 also features the detachable WiCo (Wireless Controller) control unit.

• Remote control: Control and monitor the stirrer wirelessly from a distance of up to 10 metres. This is ideal when the unit is located in a fume cupboard or when working with hazardous vapours.
• Process monitoring: The TFT display shows not only the speed but also the current torque. Changes in the sample’s viscosity are thus immediately visible.

Smart functions for the Laboratory 4.0

• Torque trend measurement: Record relative changes in viscosity over time.
• Interfaces: The instrument can be connected to a PC via USB and RS 232. Using the labworldsoft software (®), you can programme and document complex test sequences.
• Temperature measurement: A connection for a PT 1000 temperature sensor is integrated. This allows you to ensure that your temperature-sensitive samples do not overheat (limit values can be set).

Powerful, yet controlled

Despite its enormous power, the brushless motor operates quietly and requires no maintenance. The speed can be continuously adjusted from 4 to 530 rpm – the focus here is clearly on power in the low-speed range, not on high speed. An electronic safety cut-out protects the motor in the event of overload or blockage.

Custom requirements & accessories

Warning: At 660 Ncm, enormous forces are exerted on the stand and the stirring blade!

• Stand: You must use a heavy-duty telescopic stand (e.g. IKA R 2723) with anti-rotation protection. A simple plate stand may tip over.
• Stirring tool: For highly viscous media, we recommend anchor stirrers or spiral stirrers that run close to the vessel wall.
• Software: labworldsoft ® for automation.
