The RV 10 digital FLEX is the glassware-free version of the digital line: drive, heating bath and 7-segment control are identical to the RV 10 digital V, but the vertical glassware is deliberately missing from the box. Anyone who already owns a receiving flask, condenser or another set of flasks, for example from a decommissioned predecessor device, saves the purchase of duplicate glassware with the FLEX and combines the drive unit freely with existing or desired accessories. At 18.5 kilograms, the basic unit weighs considerably less than the complete versions at around 32 kilograms, which makes transport and installation at cramped workstations easier.Free glassware configuration instead of a fixed setWhether uncoated vertical glassware RV 10.1, the coated version RV 10.10 or a diagonal setup, with the FLEX the laboratory itself decides which glassware combination suits the respective application, and can, if required, continue to use the same glassware between several drive units. As with the complete models, the speed ranges from 5 to 280 revolutions per minute, and a soft start and selectable clockwise/anticlockwise rotation in interval mode protect sensitive samples.Heating bath and safety technology unchangedThe heating bath reaches up to 180 °C with 1 kelvin setting accuracy and holds a maximum of 4 litres, and a timer takes over recurring process steps. The motorised lift automatically raises the flask out of the hot bath on power failure, and individually adjustable safety temperature circuits, dry-run protection and an adjustable end-position detection provide additional protection against glass breakage. The device can be connected to the labworldsoft software via the RS-232 interface. On the mains, the device runs at 220 to 240 volts and a power consumption of 1,400 watts. The RV 10 auto pro FLEX features the full range of automation technology from the auto-pro range, including a TFT colour display, an integrated vacuum controller and the VACSTAR digital vacuum pump, but deliberately does not include a fixed set of glassware. Businesses that already have suitable evaporating and collection flasks, or wish to put together their own glass configuration, can thus avoid having to purchase duplicate glassware. As with the other RV-10 models, the heating bath is built-in, meaning that distillation can begin immediately once your own glassware has been fitted.Automation without fixed glassware specificationsThe integrated vacuum controller automatically regulates the vacuum and the cooling water flow rate and measures with an accuracy of ±1 mbar; a solvent library with 40 entries supports automatic boiling point detection, regardless of which glassware combination is fitted to the unit. The RV 8 FLEX is the pure drive unit of the IKA RV 8 series, without glassware and without a condenser. Anyone who already has their own glassware in house or wants to select it specifically by process does not have to buy a preconfigured set with the FLEX. The hand lift works manually, and the device manages without a motorised lift and without a vacuum controller, but is ready for immediate use for laboratories that know their distillation routines and value a free choice of glassware combination. An HB 10 heating bath with 4 litre filling volume is included in the scope of delivery despite the reduced equipment. This division is particularly worthwhile with several RV 8 devices operated in parallel: a replacement drive can be mounted quickly on the FLEX without having to order another set of glassware that ends up unused in the cupboard.Free choice of glassware and condenserWithout a fixed set of glassware, the RV 8 FLEX can be fitted with any combination from the IKA RV 10 glassware range, from uncoated vertical glassware through the coated version to the dry ice condenser. This is worthwhile above all for laboratories that run different processes with changing requirements for breakage protection or cooling capacity and do not want to keep several complete devices on hand. The RV 05.10 ball joint clamp and NS 29 clamp are already included, so that separately procured glassware can be mounted directly.Hand lift and safety functionsThe manual lift raises and lowers over a stroke of 120 millimetres, the immersion angle is continuously adjustable, and one-handed operation works for right-handed and left-handed users. If the power fails, an integrated safety lift automatically raises the flask out of the heating bath.
