If a sample is to be processed automatically after shaking, the shaker must come to a halt at a defined position. The IKA KS 130 control features end-point positioning for this purpose, which, according to IKA, enables automated, robot-controlled sampling. It is a compact circular shaker with a 4 mm shaking stroke, a 230 x 230 mm platform and a maximum shaking load of 2.0 kg, including the attachment.
Speed, timer and display
The speed is adjusted electronically between 80 and 800 rpm and displayed on an LED screen. The timer runs from 1 to 5999 minutes, that is, up to 99 hours and 59 minutes, whilst continuous operation is also possible. The drive is designed for 100 per cent duty cycle. With a shaking stroke of 4.0 mm, the unit mixes gently, as described by IKA. A shaking table lock is provided.
Interfaces for documentation and control
The KS 130 control can be controlled via the RS-232 interface using the labworldsoft software, and runs can be documented. There is also an analogue output. The software is not included in the Scope of delivery and can be ordered as a Lite, Starter or Pro version, depending on the range of functions required.

Series overview
The KS 130 control accommodates sample weights of up to 2 kg. Those requiring higher shaking loads should opt for the KS 260 basic, with a capacity of 7.5 kg and a 10 mm shaking stroke, or the KS 260 control. The VXR basic Vibrax, with speeds of up to 2200 rpm, is designed for very high speeds with low loads.
