2,200 revolutions per minute with a stroke of just 4 mm, that ensures thorough mixing even in small vessels. The IKA VXR basic Vibrax is an optoelectronically controlled small shaker with a very wide speed range from 0 to 2,200 rpm. The motion is circular, and the permissible shaking load, including the attachment, is 2 kg. Users who regularly use the shaker for test tubes, dishes or universal vessels can select the appropriate attachment.
Easy to operate, built for continuous operation
The VXR basic has no timer and no display. The speed is set using a scale; the lower adjustable limit is 100 rpm. The unit operates continuously with a permissible duty cycle of 100 per cent. Attachments for various vessels
The shaker is operated with the attachment that fits the vessel. IKA offers, amongst others, the VX 1 single-vessel attachment, the VX 2 test-tube attachment, the VX 8 universal attachment with VX 8.1 clamping roller, the VX 7 dish attachment and the VX 11 base holder with VX 11.1 to 11.6 test tube inserts. Which attachment variant is suitable depends on the vessel diameter, the number of vessels and the total weight, which must not exceed 2 kg.

Which IKA shaker is suitable
The VXR basic combines high speed with a 2 kg shaking capacity. The IKA VORTEX 3 reaches 2500 rpm, but has a capacity of only 0.4 kg. The IKA MS 3 control operates at 100 to 3,000 rpm and features a timer, but has a shaking capacity of only 0.5 kg. If you need a 2 kg capacity with a timer and lower speeds, the KS 130 control is the right choice.
