Multifunctional temperature control and mixing

The IKA MATRIX Orbital Delta Plus is a versatile all-rounder for complex laboratory applications. It combines reliable mixing with precise heating and cooling in a single unit. Whether blood samples, active pharmaceutical ingredients, DNA/RNA samples or ELISA assays – this system optimally temperature-controls and mixes reaction vessels and plates, even with the smallest volumes. With a maximum speed of 3,000 rpm and a shaking stroke of 3 mm, excellent mixing results are achieved without cross-contamination.

High-performance heating and cooling

Thanks to high-performance Peltier technology, the MATRIX Orbital Delta Plus offers impressive ramp rates: it heats up at up to 6 °C/min and cools down at up to 2.5 °C/min (above ambient temperature) or 0.5 °C/min (below ambient temperature). This enables a drastic reduction in waiting times and increases sample throughput. The wide temperature range covers numerous applications, from cDNA synthesis and ligations to lysis reactions and denaturation processes.

Intuitive operation and robust design

A large, clear display with an intuitive menu structure makes programming mixing, heating and cooling ramps a breeze. The instrument intelligently adjusts the speed to suit the insert, attachment and fill volume used, to prevent sample loss. The sturdy quick-release fastener allows attachments to be changed in a matter of seconds, with automatic recognition. The die-cast aluminium housing not only ensures stability but also guarantees maximum durability in daily laboratory use.
