IKA MINISTAR 40 control stirrer (25 L), 0025001989

The IKA MINISTAR 40 control sets the standard for the ‘high-tech mini-class’ of laboratory stirrers. Despite its extremely compact design (just 70 mm wide), this brushless DC stirrer delivers performance rated for volumes of up to 25 litres (H₂O) and viscosities of up to 30,000 mPas. It thus bridges the gap between simple laboratory stirrers and large pilot-plant systems, making it ideal for specialised applications in confined fume cupboards or reactor systems.

Safety and process monitoring

A unique feature of the Control series is the integrated vibration sensor. It detects instabilities caused by imbalance in the stirring tool and automatically switches the unit off before damage to the setup or glass breakage can occur. The high-quality glass display is chemical-resistant and provides a crystal-clear view of all process parameters, including torque development (the ‘Trend’ display) for indirect monitoring of viscosity changes during the reaction.

Precision and connectivity

The microprocessor-controlled system maintains the set speed (up to 1000 rpm) even under fluctuating loads. For temperature-critical syntheses, a PT 1000 temperature sensor is included as standard; this connects directly to the unit and displays the medium temperature on the screen. Via the USB interface, the unit can be connected to the labworldsoft software ® to comprehensively document speeds, torques and temperatures, or to run complex ramp profiles.
