The IKA PETTE vario 100–1000 µl is the ideal instrument for applications in the millilitre range, such as pipetting cell culture media, buffers or protein solutions. With a variable setting range of 100 to 1000 µl and fine 1 µl increments, it enables fast and precise dispensing. The ergonomic design is impressive: the scope of delivery includes three interchangeable grips in different sizes, ensuring a perfect fit for the user’s hand. This minimises strain on the hand and thumb, even during intensive pipetting sessions.

High-performance plastics for maximum durability

Unlike with smaller-volume models, IKA uses special high-performance polymers for the moving parts in this model. The piston is made of robust PPSU (polyphenylsulfone), whilst the tip cone is manufactured from chemical-resistant PPS (polyphenylene sulphide). This choice of materials not only guarantees high rigidity and durability, but also ensures extremely low friction coefficients. The result is particularly smooth aspiration and dispensing of the liquid with minimal effort.

Maintenance, hygiene and ISO compliance

The IKA PETTE vario is designed to meet the highest hygiene standards: it is fully autoclavable at 121 °C without the need for prior disassembly. For routine maintenance, the volumetric unit can be dismantled without tools in a matter of seconds. Should recalibration be necessary (e.g. for viscous media), this can be carried out directly by the user without the need for additional tools. This saves time and makes it easier to comply with ISO 8655 standards in day-to-day laboratory work.
