IKA RET basic ETS-D7 Solution Magnetic Stirrer Complete Package, stainless steel base, 0010016577

Product information "IKA RET basic ETS-D7 Solution Magnetic Stirrer Complete Package, stainless steel base, 0010016577"

The IKA RET basic ETS-D7 Solution Complete Package (MPN 0010016577) represents a mechatronically high-performance and metrologically uncompromising system solution for the simultaneous stirring, mixing and high-precision temperature control of liquid media in the laboratory. This turnkey combination set combines the extremely robust RET basic safety magnetic stirrer with the intelligent, electronic contact thermometer ETS-D7 and the matching stand accessories. Whether for demanding chemical syntheses, temperature-critical reactions in pharmaceutical research or intensive routine applications in industrial process engineering, precise temperature monitoring directly within the sample medium is the primary criterion for working in a manner that is gentle on materials, reproducible and process-reliable.

Excellent thermal conductivity thanks to a pure stainless steel base

A key material-specific feature of the RET basic is its high-performance base plate, with a diameter of 135 mm, which is manufactured from a specialised, high-purity stainless steel alloy. Compared to conventionally coated surfaces, the uncoated stainless steel plate offers exceptionally high thermal conductivity, resulting in extremely short heating cycles and highly efficient heat transfer into the sample. The surface is also characterised by outstanding mechanical impact resistance, scratch resistance and excellent resistance to a wide range of aggressive solvents. Its geometry is perfectly tailored to standardised laboratory vessels, can be cleaned without leaving any residue and ensures gentle, continuous use over many years.

Fault-free media temperature control via the ETS-D7 contact thermometer

A key process engineering feature of this system solution is the direct thermodynamic coupling via the ETS-D7 electronic contact thermometer included in the package. The connected temperature sensor is positioned vibration-free within the liquid core of the sample using the sturdy stand system and regulates the heating power via a highly efficient PID microprocessor. The system thus reliably prevents the dreaded overshoot of the target temperature. Via the ETS-D7’s intuitive, high-resolution graphic display, laboratory staff can keep a constant eye on all relevant parameters as well as the transient temperature curve. Integrated safety functions also allow a maximum cut-off temperature to be set for unattended operation.

Hermetically sealed housing and comprehensive laboratory safety

The long-term durability of the unit is ensured by a hermetically sealed die-cast aluminium housing. This structural barrier complies with protection class IP 42 and reliably protects the internal electronic control elements and the powerful magnetic drive against the ingress of spilled liquids, corrosive vapours or dust. A comprehensive safety concept protects users and the laboratory infrastructure: an independently adjustable safety circuit immediately switches off the heating function in the event of an unexpected overheating, whilst a visual residual heat indicator (Hot Top Indicator) reliably warns staff of the risk of burns even after the unit has been switched off.

Customised requirements & accessories

To ensure you get the most out of the IKA RET basic ETS-D7 Solution complete package, we stock a comprehensive range of compatible system accessories. For safe, oil-free operation with round-bottom flasks, we recommend the heat-efficient IKA Dry attachments made from anodised aluminium, which completely eliminate the need for traditional, unhygienic oil baths. To protect the stirrer housing from stubborn contamination, we stock precisely fitting silicone protective covers. For complex mixing requirements, we also offer a wide range of PTFE-coated magnetic stirring bars in various geometries (e.g. cylindrical, triangular or oval for round-bottom flasks). For transient data logging and process control, the system can also be linked to the labworldsoft laboratory software via the integrated interface. Please make use of our technical procurement service to ensure your measuring station is designed to meet your specific requirements.
