The process engineering behind the stirring function is based on a powerful motor with a wide speed range of 100 to 2,000 revolutions per minute. With a heating power of 400 watts, the system enables rapid and direct heating of sample media up to a hotplate temperature of 320 degrees Celsius. The sophisticated magnetic coupling ensures that the magnetic stir bar is kept reliably in position, even when the viscosity of the medium begins to change. A gentle start-up stirring mode also prevents the stir bar from becoming disengaged during the critical start-up phase.
